Thanks in advance for any help! I have about 3 oz close trimm and sugary buds and want to so an ISo extraction.
Questions.
1. Best way to prepare product food processor. Broken up? Ec.
2 I'm planning on pouring alcohol fr freezer over buds. Not stirring or shaking. Waitin about 30 sec fThan through cheesecloth. And coffee filter after. Can or should i run more ISo or is it one time for the herb?

Any tips r suggestion are needed!

Got some good results. Ran first run with little movement jus soaked ad poured. Than another with shaking jar for 30 seconds. Stuff was dark! But when thinned out very amber. Pliable but didn't stick to fingers! Going to make more in a few days and post some pics.

Im about to attempt my first iso right now. Ive had buds/trim in freezer since harvest (about a month) my iso is also in the freezer.

I have a metal mesh strainer and coffee filters is that enough?

Make sure material is extremely dry. Freeze everything rhat will come in contact with plant material including the dry plant material. Secure a coffee filter around a cup of aome sort (I use a measuring glass). Put frozen plant material into frozen container and pour iso from freezer over the plant material.

As soon as the iso starts to turn yellow pour off into the filter and let it drain through. The iso in the filtered glass should look gold/yellow, not green. If its green it means your pulling chlorophyll along with otjher things you dont want (although if using it for making edibles which I wouldnt use iso for personally to make sure you extract everything you could go longer until a dark green).

Evap is personal preference as longas you get all the iso out. I ussually sit it in warm water and pull air off it with a fan (small batch only) but i find it tastes better to me if I let it naturally evap off without any heat.

Edit* thats a pretty rough guide. If you have any more specific questions you can message me and I'll probably have a decent answer for you, if not I could probably point you towards someone who might.

Pretty much all the above sentiment. In my experience however I let the wash sit 2-3 full minutes in the freezer and I don't get any green.

Here is a starting point. As noted, extracting cold and limited soaking time is the key to gold instead of green. We start at 3 minutes with ethanol, and 30 seconds with isopropyl, and then pay rapt attention to color before dumping.

We like to dump through a strainer to separate the material from the alcohol faster, and then filter afterwards.
