Is Water Bad For Flowering Buds?

Hi everyone! This is my first post and I'm excited that I found this forum!

I'm growing outdoors in my backyard (in pots) and I have sprinklers for the lawn. My plants are flowering an I probably have 3-4 weeks before they are ready. They are not getting drenched but they are getting a little misted.

My question is...is water hitting the buds bad and should I turn off my sprinklers? Should flowering plants stay completely dry (besides the soil)?

I have read that it is better to water flowering plants at their base. I also know that it isn't good if the environment is too humid.

A few problems can happen. For one the water even rain water will knock some chrystals off your bud. Second, it can cause mold to grow. Not likely in your case. Also the drops can act like magnafine glasses and burn the plant. All in all it probably wont hurt that much. Just keep an eye out for molds.

if they do get wet, grab the main stalk and give them a little shake til the majority of the water falls off. just dont shake too hard

Hiya Pete,

Although I agree with the above information.. If it were me and my "$money plant$"... I would not let water hit it.. no way JOSE..
