Funny i thought about doing the same thing ha ha

To help with summer temps
My loop (copper) is only a foot deep so at about 60 ambient temps it really is not adequate ..... thought it would be :( but for 8 months it works really well. If you could get down to 3’+ it work better. About 600’ per ton of pipe @ 5’ is recommended for geo systems :(.

I think its cold enough where i live to use it in winter for sure though :)
Well mine is, when I first turned it on I cycled water pumps to maintain res temps and heat exchanger froze lol, now we cycle the glycol loop and it works better lol. It maintains 67 in 3 res’s @ 25 gallons each :).

Does the copper come in contact with nutrients?
Does it have an advers affect?

I finally put a journal up feel free to stop in @Budley Doright
I have one copper heat exchanger and I have not tested for copper in my water, I should, but no adverse effect that I have seen. The other exchangers are coopernickle so they don’t leach and growth is identical as far as I can tell.

Good to know as i didnt want to have to pay for stainless tube lol
Well I really should test the water, pool places can for copper, that’s how they deny warranty when pool heaters fail due to water chemistry but they are heaters. I’ve had lots tell me it will kill the plants but mine seem ok lol. I get my heat exchangers from de commissioned GEO units ;).

Thank you very much guys for your support, you cannot believe how much it mean to me. I am a total noob, tried to save money by doing DIY containers and failed, that lesson I got... Unfortunately learning from others mistakes is not my thing

Just cannot figure out yet how and when do I know that transplanting gone wrong. Lost a lot of time and money already :(, cannot start the new run at the same time because of the law limitations (plants quantity)...

Nothing wrong with diy all my stuff is built by me. Hell my 2 res were 55 gallon barrels of organic soy sauce, I use 27 gallon hdx totes from Home Depot. Honestly I’m a firm believer that you can’t adequately learn without failure. Where you went wrong was in the planning phase. You needed way more air pump than what you had. Planning should be your biggest step and I me plan for everything you can think of. This experience has given you a lot of new pointers and information to help facilitate your next grow. Your next round should go much smoother and will be all the more rewarding. Lowering your overhead should be your main goal regardless if your growing commercially or for yourself. Nothing better than growing your own weed for less money.

Not broke yet and just really cheap. I can’t buy or hire if there is a slight chance I can do it lol. I change my iPhone 6 screen last week.....wouldn’t ever do that again lol. Had visions of a box of iPhone parts going to the repair shop lol. 6 hrs and 3 fat ones later I only had 4 screws left over lol

I’m not broke lol I’m lucky to have the job I have. It’s just I can’t see myself buying something that I can make better and less expensive most of the kits are just junk they tossed in a box from some wholesale warehouse lol. Isn’t there a diy section already? However I have seen some stellar builds by guys and gals on here.
