Is this Nut burn, N def?

So after doing some research, I think this may be Nut burn or N deficiency. But it just popped up a day ago and I cant really tell from looking at examples of plant problems, what exactly it could be. It just curled this morning so that's why I'm asking if its N *(Toxicity) "the claw"

I also read it might be cal/mag def and from what I have read, Animal Cookie really likes Cal/mag so I gave it a few squirts an hour ago. I also used some liquid seaweed and some neem with protek silicon emulsifier at about a week because I had a small fungus gnat problem. Plants art at 2 and 1/2 weeks now.

Temps in tent have been at 85-90 during lights on, at night around 67, I realize this is not good so I just purchased an vortex s-6 to bring the temp down during lights on and I also have a PH meter on the way. This started out as a half assed grow on my patio from some seeds I found in my meds. But OCD has its hold on me and now im doing it as legit as i can with a tent.20160527_084641.jpg 20160527_084708.jpg

Thanks for the reply.
Yes I run a swivle fan, and I just purchased an inline fan to reduce heat and get the air flowing in the tent.Ive looked around and I have not found a practical way to use CO2 in a tent, especially one with so many leaks.

I think those seedlings look just fine I'd ease up just a tad on the nutes if anything... That's a nice little led ...I'd lie to get my hands on one just so dam n expensive for the size I'd need

just open the vent flaps on the bottom of your tent and that ought to be fine, it will pull colder air up from the bottom of the tent to the top where your fan is sucking from, creating a nice "ripple" effect up through the canopy.
you can go up to 85 degrees in the day time with no problems. i try to keep it around 80 now, but 85 didnt seem to strain the plants at all. i do keep it about 65% rh in my veg tent and about 45% in my flowering tent, which may help with that some. i did notice going over 85 started to show a few heat stress symptoms, leaves wilting slightly, leaf edges tacoing.
if you're using Cal-Mag +, theres nitrogen in there, keep that in mind when mixing your nutes up.

those seem to be awfully large pots for seedlings. if you put them in smaller pots to begin with they have time to develope a good rootball, if you put them in pots that are too large the roots cant use up all the water in the bottom of the pot and might get root rot from sitting in it, and it definitely isnt oxygenated

Yea the led in the long run is a money saver, the 300W cost me 90 bucks each on Amazon. Plus having the 9 band with the IR and UV is supposed to make the plants really happy and work for veg and flower. Plus I don't need a ballast as they have built in fans, and and they dont generate nearly as much heat. Plus the bulbs last for over a year, so when I finally get a place to do a big grow in an actual room, I am definitely going to bite the bullet and invest in some nice LED's

I bought a throttle along with the Vortex s-6 So I can adjust accordingly. I was just going to open some vents like Roger mentioned, passive intake should be enough right? The room is 3x3x6.

Yea my temp starts out mid 80s in the first half of the day and then up to 90-91 when its been on for about 6 hours. Then when I shut her off for the night temps get to around 65.I know this is a problem and I am just waiting on my inline to come should be here withing a week. Poor girls are definitely starting to taco a bit, I water with a spray bottle so as not to over water, I just did not want to mess with transferring the plants. Ill have to aerate the soil though, because I had to mosquito dunk today in order to get rid of fungus gnats.

Thank you for the tip about the Cal/Mag, I thought it was just Cal and Mag and did not realize it had N. I am just going to stop feeding all together until the burn clears up.

What do you do to generate humidity in your tent? I have a feeling once I ad the Inline the humidity is going to drop drastically.

i have a small cool mist humidifier that i use when i need to, its adjustable, so you can -slightly- control how much it puts out. it's sort engineered, even though its small i dont want to put it in the tent, so i took a 6 to 4 reducer, sat it on top of the humidifier vent and use a piece of drier vent to aim it into one of the lower intakes on my cab.

the burn won't go away, but new growth should start coming in without it. don't stop feeding, just cut back a little till it starts to look like they need more. then don't just bomb them, work them up in steps till you get to about 700ppm. i realize people use different nutes, i'm trying vegamatrix right now, starting off at 250ppm at the 4th set of leaves, going up about 100 ppm per week for 5 weeks of veg, 6 if they look like they need it.by the time i transfer them they're getting around 700-750 , stay at that for the first week of flowering, then work them up to 1000 ppm as long as they can take it. had a few that ate up 1200 ppm, and some that burn at 900.
just look at your plants though. if they seem to be growing slowly and are dark green, thats usually too much N, if they're starting to get a little light colored, feed em more.

Hmm sounds like I can make something along those lines. Im waiting on my nute and PH test kit to get here. I started this so unequiped. Only nutes I have right now are some liquid seaweed, a protec silicone 0-0-3 and some cal/mag .

Also the burn seems to be getting worse. Could be because I hit it with the Cal/Mag yrsterday before you enlightened me to the fact tjat it has N. I did some reading today anout flushing with soil and it does not seem to be a good idea.
Also, That leaf on the top mid with spots in the center, could that be some rust fungus? My air circulation has been rather poor.

i dont think thats fungus. don't over react, just check your ph, make sure your nutes aren't too strong. only feed every other watering. i like to put about 3 ml of calmag in my water between watering, but i'm growing in coco, not sure if thats a good idea in soil. i just try to avoid an isotonic situation, where the roots have a higher concentration than the medium around them and that makes them leach into it till its balanced. you should be good, even in soil, if you get 15% or so run off when you water, otherwise, the old depleted salts are still in the soil slowly turning it toxic. if you haven't been doing that i would recommend light flushing, not gallons and gallons of water, maybe 2 to 3 times the volume of your pot, followed by an immediate half strength feeding at the right ratio, then let it dry out normally before you water again, with regular strength nutes, with about 15% run through.

I have not been getting any run off, as I have only been light watering with a spray bottle, Ill do a light flush tomorrow.

Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

thats a young plant and you've only been misting it so salt build up shouldn't be much of a problem, but when you start watering it regularly, make sure you do get a little run off.
and no problem, i wish someone would have told me some of this stuff before i half killed most of my plants learning it for myself

i plan on switching to the canna line when the system i'm using now (vegamatrix, works just fine, but cost 3 times what it ought to) runs out. seen lots of good results both on this site and in person, easily available from amazon and most grow stores, simple, the main system is two bottles, the most you ought to ever need is 4, i'm thinking zyme and boost to go with the vega and flora. if you feel like it they have rhizotonic, a root booster, and bloom, a flowering booster that will mostly be sugar water. i've always been a fan of molasses during flowering, and feel that if you're feeding well and adding 1 or 2 tablespoons of molasses to each gallon of water, you don't need the expensive add ons.

I bought some Ammonium Sulfate, since Im using soil, it has a slow release and is supposed to help soften the soil so the roots can travel more effectively. Plus I just need straight N, the soil I have is super rich already so I need a way to add only the specific nute I need.

I will save your nute recommendations for when I grow Hydro!

Should I trim this leaf?

i wouldn't. as long as most of it is still green its still feeding your plant. i hardly ever clip leaves off of a plant, unless they're really faded and wilted.

and canna makes systems for soil, coco, and hydro. i'm going coco, but i understand all three lines are top notch
