Yep, it will work for Veg.
Build yourself a reflector that will hold your bulb horizontal. You will get better use of light.
I use the same Cfls.
2 x 105 watt 6500k
I'm Vegging 12 plants under those.

Here is a picture of some of my girls @ 1 month 1 week. I will veg for another week and then off to the flower tent:weed:

thanks.. but can somebody tell me why my plants leaves are sagging down and turning yellow and crusty i just moved them in the blue hydro system the other day from out a fish tank looooooooooooooooooool.

I also found a 4 pack of these lights at amazon for 20 bucks and was curious if they would be okay for veg. Only difference is they are 45 watt bulbs. 6500k. CHEAP CHEAP! But im planning on running 8 of them on 1-2 plants in and small cabinet grow. What do ya think? Will they get it done? Here's the description:

did these lights work out? their extreme cheapness makes me think they somehow are different despite being 6500k

I use the same bulbs. I bought one on amazon. They work. get some smaller 23 and 26 w cfl and some double fixture lamp sockets. but for flowering you need 2700k light spectrum. Warm light man for flowering. You can use the bulbs you got to flower just mix them with 2700k. The 6500k alone will make your buds feathery and not compact.

use them for veg and keep them and add the 2700 k for flower. i never hurts to have some 6500 k during flower and it is supposed to give a little sweeter taste. i don't know how true that is but my plants loved having a little 6500 k in flower.
