Is this beginning of mag/phos deficiency

first run in promix and I think this is early sign of a deficiency. Leaf veins up top are slightly red/purple and some plants have a little yellow lime green up leaves.Plants are in promix hp 3 gal smart pots. Pots get watered every 5-6 days till little runoff I gave them a mild water with calmag when I seen ppms where around 1700. Ph of runoff seems pretty stable. I'm think either it's from the medium being so wet for so long or maybe needs little more food. Any ideas on what the problem is and how to fix it people

Are you running just straight promix? What nutrients are you running and how much are you feeding? What exactly has your ph readings been both from water and runoff?

She looks hungry for some N so if she doesn't fill out with more green after your calmag feeding then test the ph of your promix. While you're at it compare ppms as well just to see if you have excess salts due from a lockout.

Does show early signs of cal/mag def. If you notice alot of your leaves are drawstringing tips are curving around and not straight thats another sign of it early on, and yes as n0thing said they could use some N but dont over do it.

Hp with little perlite added. Honestly not enough they need watered every 5 or 6 days they ppms where around 1200-1700 then I lightly flushed with some runoff with 4ml calmag and runoff was lower around 700-800 ppm. I just watered them lightly today 3-4 cups each with a nutrients solution of 760 ppm. 10 ml sensi bloom a+b 8 ml bud candy. Ph 5.8 didn't get any runoff this time. I normally do but I was wanting to see if maybe the problem is from too heavy of water

I think you have done the right thing (unless you don't need cal mag with your water) but even that with the ppm's you say doesn't seem to be a problem so give it a few days for the plants to use the new lower concentration of nutes up.

Their leaves are mostly flat and happy looking likely due to the leaching and re feeding.

I bet they green up some.

Let's see if I have this right:
You've seen ppm as high as 1700 in soil and you feed a+b and bud candy. When you say 1700 ppm is this the runoff?
Right now it looks like you have leaf tip burn like over fert. You probably don't need to fert so often in soil. When the soil is dry you can water without using fert. It sounds like you're giving a lot of nutrients for a soil grow. 1700 is high even for the high dilution of hydro. It's possible to over do the ferts and have plants change color in a way that looks like they're not getting enough nutrients. The frequency that you feed is something to consider, not just how much you give them. This contributes to a high ppm number. I think I would cool it on the ferts for a while and see how they do. Just give water when dry. This is opposite to what others say but your ppm is high and feeding every 5-6 days might be too often.

Hes using Promix, it's a soiless medium so that needs to be taken into consideration. I agree with what you're saying though, that's why I asked for him to test the PH of his medium. If you're often feeding that much and show signs of low N (light green leafs) and P (purple stems) it points to a lockout. Last time I ran promix I had to add more lime because my ph was dropping to 5.0.

Oh and ph of runoff is pretty consistent with water ph
You typed this right after saying you had no runoff. How consistent are we talking here.

If things don't look better do a full test of your medium with PH + PPM with just water. *Test the water with PH and PPM before watering then test the runoff with both then come back with the results.

"ppms where around 1700"

Lower the nutes.
This is from the label on the VitaGrow I use.

General Rules of Thumb for Pro Growers:
General: The overfeeding of any plant food can cause nutrient deficiencies
For most full sun plants, maintain nutrient levels below 1700 PPM/TDS.

Overfeeding will cause deficiencies. I never go much above 1000 ppm including flower. I never have deficiencies, burnt tips, or any other problems. I am convinced that the majority of all problems people have are from overfeeding and adding unnecessary nutrient additives.

Would flushing with plain water till ppms come in range then feeding be best solution
No need to flush. Just feed straight water with slight runoff. Let dry out and do again. You're in soil. Leave it alone and let the plants grow. Flushing, adding this, adding that, etc... will just make things worse and is a waste of time. Grow those girls out, move on, and don't do the same thing next time.
Any ppm reading you get from runoff is meaningless and a waste of time so don't even bother with that nonsense.
Plain Water.

If PHing to 5.8 doesn't that lock out Magannesse ? It's a good idea to let the pH cover a range instead of always adjusting to the exact same pH number.
This is the best advice in the thread. Fluctuate your PH to allow the plant to take in each nutrient.

No just change your feeding schedule, Instead of feeding every watering feed every other watering and keep a record of Ph while letting it fluctuate 5.8 - 6.2. Don't rush or change anything else unless things get noticeably bad.

*Also something to think about next time is add more perlite for drainage so you'd have to water every 3 days or so instead of 5-6. Just my 2¢

Yup when I water plain water I usually go 6.0-6.3 when feeding the advanced takes water to 5.8-5.9. Yea definitely need pots of extra perlite didn't realize how much on this first run nut future plants will be in around a 50/50 mix id like to get a promix mix that has aeration qualities of coco
