I had the exact same problem with my northern lights started flower in gallon and half pot and a month in I had to transplant. when i removed it from the pot the roots were wound up so tight I could't believe it.

What i did was cut the pot off because i couldn't pull it out of there with out wrecking something massaged the wound up roots a bit with my fingers threw it in a five gallon pot and she greened right back up with in a week. my northern was just as bushy as yours.

I am no expert just telling you my experience with your exact same issue.

its a burn/deficiency, but the tops look good......personally, I'd flush the living shit out of them and feed them a week later.....thats just me.

I'm glad to hear about something like this..
My biggest issues ate these ..
1. I wonder if they will go Into shock.
2 . do I leave the rest of the 3gal pot on my plant in this process and plant it that way in the 5gallon?
Any detail would be excellent. I'll do it tonight if so

Are you giving them water out of the tap or r/o. could be a mg def. too. I'm a noob i'm just throwing ideas out there . Maybe try a foliar spray with some epsom salts.

your in a bit bigger of a pot then i was to begin with so you might not be root bound. I have some skywalker ogs that are 5 ft tall in 3.5 gallon pots and they arent root bound.

I keep hearing this but get no answer to mY question that follows.
At a month in to flower will it stress my plant to herm? Or die?

No you won't stress it out to point of herming or dieing. If that is infact the problem you really have no choice. But like I said try foliar spraying with some Epsom salts first to seeing that helps. Ifit doesn't its most likely root bound and has to be transplanted if its root bound it'll never make it to the end of flower. I transplanted mine a ways Into flower and it greened up with in a week. Sorry for bad spelling on my iPhone and it seems to be taking over. Haha

Just cut the whole pot off with a razor blade or a scissors be ver careful. Once you get the pot off atbottom the roots will be wound up tight dont set it down on the ground to hard be very careful u don't want to bruise or damage the root ball. Give that rootball a gentle massage (dont be rough) with ur fingers to loosen it up abit. Have your bigger pot ready with more soil in there put the plant full the rest of the pot with soil and you should be good bro.

Thanks for transplanting for dummies I'll take pics later of the process. Been thinking about it anyways.. Just wanted to make sure it was safe to do in flower.

Plant nit gonna die, harvest might not be best it could be.. but I would do a heavy flush as suggested, then give em a nice feed, and can't tell if it will herm, the stress dont help any that's for sure

Just take a blade and cut the bottom 1/4 of inch off the pot and place the pot about 5 inches into your new bigger pot and water. I have been transplanting this way in flower with no stress and it will give your roots a ton more of room to work with. Your 3 gallon pot will look like its sitting on top of the soil in the 5 gallon pot but your roots will have about 4.5 gallons of new soil to work with.
