Is this a russet mite?

Maybe. The water usually pools on the tips.
Well lesson learned. Gave them a rinsing with 3 aspirin in 1.5 gal today and water with a few drops of soap yesterday. Hopefully the leaf condition don't get too much worse. There were like 2 times more dead black leaves today than yesterday.
Just got the rest of the basement sprayed with forbid though and got everything wiped down earlier. Still need to sprinkle some DE on the carpet though

How bad are the essential oils or Dawn or ISO for your soil? How much dripping from your organic miticide is ok for your soil? My soil is soaked from yesterday's spraying, do I still want to water w nutes? Will the spray lock out nutes? Should I cover my soil for future spraying?

I'm no expert but from what I've gathered from people on here, it's actually a good idea to spray the soil, bugs and eggs with fall into it

Thanks, since my last picture taking, I've been getting black spots on the leaves, and it's spreading. I had been plucking some of the more intensely spotted leaves but was worried the plant needed all the leaves for photosynthesis during flower. I was going to wait for my predator mites before attempting to spray because I wanted to see an unalduterated test of the predators, but after rereading what colo mmj was saying about shoot first ask later mentality and the spreading spots I decided to "shoot."

I mixed 8 drops peppermint essential oil, 2-3 drops Dawn (until there was a slight foam layer on top when the spray bottle was shaken but not enough Dawn to overtake the entire volume of the container w foam) and about 15% ISO(91%) by volume in a standard handheld spray bottle. I doused the plants and mixed the same recipe 3x (talk about soar forearm lol).Sprayed all while the lights were on and the fan was off. The alcohol I think helped to evaporate the miticide more quickly and makes me think that's why I didn't get any sun spots from the sitting moisture refracting the light.

After spraying thoroughly, I plucked any remaining leaves with any black spots on them as I read that black spots that seem to be "raised" is from bugs biting and the plant reacting. When I turned the leaves over containing the black spots, the area underneath was raised as described in what I read. So I fervently plucked them all.

*Also I was plucking black spot leaves in between my 3 sprayings and could see within 45min or so the black spots would spread to other leaves.

The next day..

I went to check on her and sure enough those black spots had spread to other leaves, although it looked like I had an impact because the newly infected leaves seemed much less and almost few and far between, but still present.

I went to look up more info on what I was dealing with because the black spots seemed to be a consistent symtom in addition to what I had already been experiencing when I hypothesised broad mites.

I came across a parasite affecting the roots called pythium. When looking at the symtom related to pythium I started to suspect root and fungal issues. This was supported I thought by the excess water I felt was still in my medium though it had been days since I flushed. So I was on a warpath looking up sulfur based fungacides ect.

Then I realized I hadn't got the mail...

So of course I wasnt expecting the predators to arrive for a few days longer (why I tried to spray, thought it would be gone by the time the predators showed up) but there they were in the mail box.

I mixed up a lil soap and water and tried to rinse off the plant as best I could.

I let it sit for a min and opened the predators package. I ordered 1000x A. Cucumeris and it came in a slow release sachet that you hang on a branch. Per the company that sold me, 1000x cucumeris was more than enough for a 2x2 canopy so I decided to cut open the sachet slightly and sprinkle some of the mite habitat medium (looks like sawdust) onto all the buds too get em going. Then I hung the sachet containing the rest of the mite habitat from a branch.

Since I first sprinkled the cucumeris on the wet buds (from dawn/water rinse) I have seen 5 new leaves grow spots and after I plucked them yesterday, have not seen any since today. 2 days ago when I was spraying you could tell that within a lil time more leaves were becoming infected with black spots, but the spray was keeping them at Bay. Then I added the cucumeris, and literally almost instantly have seen improvement. I was anticipating a small spread of black spots like I had before in between my sprayings, but literally after I sprinkled the predators there was almost no spreading (minimal within the first half hour, and after they were plucked nothing) that happened for the remainder of that day, and when I woke up to check on them a day later there is still no black spots.

So...

I think I got a lot of adult mites with my peppermint spray, and which ultimately took them down a good notch, but then I added what was supposed to be slow release predators (1000 over 5wks) in a quicker fashion and I think the cucumeris is finishing them off quite nicely now.

*Also was wondering if the ISO, and peppermint oil that had dripped down into the soil was actually killing all the parasites I thought I may have had before I got the mail and added the cucumeris.

Anyways, I had dying hairs, stunted growth, disease looking symptoms, black spots, raised up when the leaf was turned over (kinda like black brail), and after spraying with peppermint oil/ISO/Dawn the night before adding predators (cucumeris) I'm reporting no black spot spread anymore, and when I touch the buds they are starting to actually smell like weed (like the other one i planted the same time) instead of grass.

Yeah I already have spinosad and neem oil. I have forbid f4 on its way in the mail. From every single review I've read that forbid is some killer stuff. Do you think rotation of the 3 will be enough?

And with spinosad they say you should wait 5 days between sprays, but would it hurt to spray neem in between those off days atleast for one or two sprays in between so that several days aren't going by without a spray?

Also I have a couple bags of diatomacous earth just sitting around waiting to be used so I'll sprinkle it all over the carpet.
When I sprayed outdoors for mites I used Forbid and Floromite. One product was for the adults and one was for the eggs. You'll have to spray at weekly intervals to catch any newly hatched eggs.

You can't be spraying your plants and using predator mites togeather. Well the peppermint is fine. Forbid isnt good to use with any predator mites

yeah bro you have to spray your soil and all your stems, undersides of leaves etc everywhere. if you are under week 3 in flower i would strip every. single. leaf. off the plants before spraying

ive been dealing with thrips and i thought i got rid of them but about 2 weeks in to flower as i was defoliating i saw more thrips damage so i stripped every leaf i could reach the stem on and sprayed thoroughly with method 1 pps and continued spraying every 3-4 days until my bottle ran out. i was spraying up until week 4 of flower. i don't think method 1 pps is very effective against thrips though. i was even doubling the strength and spraying daily by the end. wish i had spinosad in canada.

Yeah it was probably half the size of the head of a ball point pin. I was just able to see that there was a speck on the leaf. Do those balls in the pic around it look like eggs to you?

Whatever it is, it causes symtoms that appear like heavy heat stress, my temps were getting as high as 85 and the plants look wrecked by heat stress at the end of each light cycle. The last two days I've managed to drop temps to upper 70s for highs and they're still showing some symtoms of heat stress which is strange because the temps aren't high and the leaf edges cupping up are symtoms of broad/russet mites.

Maybe I have both spider and russet?
You've definitely got spider mites

*Update*

I thought I had things curbed, but I believe some of my supposed mite issues were pH and nute issues. Either way, after:

1. Spraying peppermint oil
2. Rinsing
3. Applying 1000x cucumeris

Issues seemed to decline (leaf spotting, burnt hairs, ect), but I was still fighting to keep her in good health.

Finally my pH and ppm meters arrived and I was able to flush to correct low pH.

Once pH was corrected, another outbreak of leaf spotting and burnt hairs began and I noticed what seemed to be spider mites or thrips?

I've added 1500 ladybugs today. So ill have 1500 ladybugs in addition to 1000 cucumeris to help.

Suspected spider mites or thrips...

I didn't have any "cola" to mix into a spray to keep them from flying away, so I added maple syrup to my Aspirin spray and used that to discourage then from flying away.

Wide angle...

I used string and tape to direct them centrally...

I don't know if it was the maple syrup addition to my Aspirin spray, but it looks like finally there's some healthy dark green inner growth starting to push through. This is new and different from yesterday...

Not yet, I ordered one a couple weeks ago and it's supposed to get here sometime this century lol, but no not yet..

and yes I added about 500 lady bugs, and will release more if it looks like she'll take em. Right now I think I'm at peak saturation, as it seems excess numbers of lady bugs congregate in a few places in addition to habitating in the weed plant.
