@DblBrryInvestments now if you need to do some Fertilizer teas because your soil is lacking I would recommend doing a recipe like above but throw in some bat or seabird guano. Usually 1/2 cup to a cup depending if you need to stretch out the tea and dilute it to water more plants. And varying guanos depending on what you need npk wise.

Last set of questions, I appreciate the help!

Will the foliar feed help combat pests, I've had major problems with whiteflies and caterpillars in previous years, so that's why I'm crazy for the neem oil and of course BT, makes it even possible for me.
It will help by creating stronger plants that are better capable of fighting off pests. However, if you've had a pretty strong pest population gunning for your plants and neem oil has kept them back then I would be hesitant to stop using it if I were you personally.

Hey greasemonkey, I read earlier on that teas may not be necessary with amended soil.

I went with LC's mix recipe #1 for the first time this year, and it seems like a pretty food rich soil as it is.

My question is, did you mean teas are not necessary throughout the whole season or just earlier on when they're still young?

I just bought a 35$ air pump that does about 50 lpm and was really looking forward to start making AACTs.
well sorta, in a perfect world/soil mix then yea you can not need teas at all, nutrient teas that is, AAACTs have their purpose, but again, in a perfect growing climate it's superfluous.
they do have their purposes though, in smaller container grows, where nutrients simply run out because the soil is limited, then nutrient teas can be useful.
AACTs have great usages in emergency/stressful situations, also is crucial in jumpstarting microbes in a virgin soil.
but I haven't made any teas in over a yr, the last tea I used was a comfrey/dandelion ferment, which worked fuckin awesome by the way, kicked my hybrid tea rose bushes into overdrive
I guess the bottom line is teas are a GREAT thing to have in your arsenal, but once you get it really dialed in it's no much needed.

Say Word! I've been thinking about cutting out the Alfalfa but I was worried I'd miss the growth hormones and goodies from it. I could always leave it out of the mix and do an Alfalfa tea if they need it.
don't be afraid of alfalfa.
I used a metric fuck-ton of alfalfa meal AND feed (a whore to DE-stem) and my compost was probably about a third alfalfa, and that compost was the best one I ever made
don't be shy with our buddy alfalfa.

Thanks for all the replies guys, appreciate it a lot!

Yeah the pests are crazy where I'm at, I may just stick with the neem oil and foliar feed a few times throughout the season, maybe feed the soil a couple times as well.

Thanks again!

It's in the rabbit litter I feed to my worm bin and I'm gonna start throwing it on my compost instead of using it in my soil mixes. It's an old friend I'd never forget tho :)
