is there enough silicon in most hydroponic 2 part nutrients?

I'm using canna aqua atm in my recirculatiing sytem. Apparently there is a lot of silica naturally occuring in soil but none obviously in any innert growing medium; I have also been told it isn't possible to put the required amounts of silicon into 2 part fertilizers. Does anyone know this to be true and does anyone use any kind of liquid silicon with improved results?
Thanks

I'm new at this. Being my first grow and all. But I'm using advanced (snake oil) which I know most people hate. However, I skip their silica additive ( I think it's rhino skin?) and use Dyna Gro Pro-Tekt. With this being my first grow, I don't have any experience not using it. But it's supposed to support healthier stem growth and what not. And I can say it's definately done that.

This lady is a little over a foot above the soil. She's one of my strongest clones, and she's had Pro-Tekt every time she has nutes. The stalk is already huge for her size.

You have it largely spot-on. Soil is silica-rich, and hydro nutes contain none. There's no way to stabilize silicate in a concentrated solution except as a freestanding, somewhat alkaline silicate prep like Rhino Skin or Pro-Tekt.
Silica is not considered an essential nutrient for weed, but it does seem to make the plant physically and physiologically tougher. I use it in my salt fert preparations. cn

Thanks a lot everyone. My main reason for wanting to start using a silica additive was to help gaurd against botrytis.

I never had any problems in soil and my environmental conditions have not changed. Do you guys have any problems with botrytis when using pro-tekt?
