I know it probably sounds silly, but my first ever grow that I did was a DWC and I did not know when to harvest and was not going to check with a scope because I have bad eyes and my gf with perfect vision was asleep. The next morning I go to check on them and they all look wilted to death, I don't know what happened? It couldn't be from under watering because they were extremely perfectly healthy the day before. And they are DWC so I know it was not underwatering, it could not be from not enough air because I checked the air pump and everything was working, the nutrient mix was the Advanced nutrients ph perfect technology and it was a fresh mix only 4 days old. And I checked it and it was perfect according to my digital meter. This was my first grow and my first time getting stoned, my first time harvesting and my first time curing. And to this day it is the best stuff I have ever vaporized. It got me wondering is it possible to just let them grow for as long as possible until they die? I mean would it ruin the bud high? I do not use it for medicinal purposes, just to get baked for fun. So I want a good long couch lock, can't feel your face, even panic attack, intense dabbing freaking out, experience. Is there any harm in just letting them bud out for as long as possible? Does it decrease high?

If you let them go for too long the psychoactive THC will degrade into the non-psychoactive compound CBN, that is what is happening as the trichomes shift from clear/cloudy to amber/brown. CBN can make you tired though, so when it is present in small amounts (lets say you harvest when 25% of trichs are amber) it can make the stone feel more couchlockey, whereas if you harvest when there are almost no amber trichs you will usually get a more head high (although that can also be strain dependent, one of the plants I harvested this year puts me to sleep in the middle of the day even with the earliest harvested buds when the hairs were still white). The best way to think of it is as a bell curve, as you wait it gets more and more potent for a while and then if you keep waiting it starts getting less and less potent. You want to harvest at the top of that curve.

Was the droopyness due to reservoir temps? Also like it was said after the big swell harvest when its at your liking .take into consideration that when you harvest. the plant still matures while drying thats why most prefer to harvest after the final swell and before too many trichs go amber.
try a scope that puts the image on your TV they might work for you
If you let it go might be the best insomnia meds around lol:sleep:
