Is she ready?

Hey guys.

I'm just about on week 13 from seed with these big bud auto. There's some heat/light damage to some of the middle buds because the plant grew way higher than advertised(not stretching), and I ran out of room to raise the lights. Also had no room to LST due to how bushy they are.

Anyway, I can't provide microscope pics because I'm using a 60x loupe, but so far there aren't many amber trichs, and it's hard to tell between cloudy and clear with this loupe. However, as you can see, most of the hairs have turned orange, so I'm a bit torn on when to harvest. Had originally planned to chop a few buds tomorrow, but if you think it needs more time let me know.

From what I can see and your description... Cut it down today if you are ready to hang it. Some strains take FOREVER for their trichomes to become amber all over. Some consider them done when they are just cloudy. The hairs turning orange is an indicator that it's finishing up. At worst - if this strain needs more time you will just get herb that is more of a head high rather than a couch stone high...

I'd think the time is right and if I didn't know the strain to look up info on flowering times - it would be hanging upside down tonight...

I'll take more pics during the harvest to document the amount. First grow so I'm not overly optimistic, but here's hoping.

Grandaddy Purps photo is my next grow. Not being able to control the timing of flower caused the space problems I had, so hopefully that will be an easier grow.

One thing I learned about yield is that each strain puts out a different amount - Some yeilds LOOK killer and are way light. Had a good grow with a lot of LA Confidential. It looked like I was going to get 5lb. easy... Way short at 3lbs....
