Is it tincture or is it oil?

Well, my "oil" finally arrived. It suffered through an address error and so it took a while to arrive.

Now, I'm not sure what I have.

Here's the labelling:

PURE CBD TINCTURE
CO2 extracted CBD Hemp oil
in Coconut Carrier Oil

And on the back:

DOSAGE:
3 ml ~ 25 mg (threshold dose)

Users can require 400 mg+ daily
depending on condition.
No Psychoactive ingredients.
ingest as needed.
440 mg CBD
30 ml

It comes with an eyedropper, which holds 2 ml.

So, if i understand it, the words under "DOSAGE" seem to imply that 3 ml or 25 mg is the "starting" dose> Is that what he means by threshold?

The whole bottle holds 30 ml, which leads me to believe that if 3 ml is the minimum daily dose, this bottle is not going to last more than 10 days. It cost me $100, so if i'm right about dosages, there's less expensive ways to ingest CBD.

For example, we've been buying a CBD cap that says it contains 20 mg of CBD. My wife uses 3 - 4 of them a day when needed. At $2 each, that is a bargain.

I'd be happy to hear from you folks on what I have here, and best how to use it.

Thanks

Yes. It is the dose that you start titrating at to work up to the required dosage.

You have a coconut oil/cannabis tincture. It should work as well as the straight oil, though you will need higher dosages to get the same medicinal effects.

What do you think would be a good starting dosage? The eyedropper, when full, holds 2ml. I was thinking of trying 1/2 eyedropper, 1 ml, to gauge the effect.

The bottle holds 30 ml and the label says the 440 mg CBD. So presumably each ml should contain 440/30 = 14.6 mg per ml.

Is 14.6 mg of CBD going to have a noticeable effect?

What do you think?

It's not very clear, I would follow up with the supplier and ask 2 questions:
1. what is the concentration of the oil in mg/ml
2. how many mg should the average user start with

Medicine strength (concentration) is usually expressed in mg/ml. I interpret their concentration as 8.3 mg/ml (3 ml ~ 25 mg) but they then go on to state "Users can require 400 mg+ daily". That's crazy, that would mean you'd need 48 mls of a 8.3mg/ml solution to get 400mg. Something aint right!.

Pretty pricy that stuff. You won't feel any effect except maybe a lessening of pain. No buzz at all. I use CBD juice in an e-cig and made my own coconut oil extraction using A hi-CBD strain called Sweet Skunk CBD I bought in a compassion club in BC last August. 12% CBD, 7%THC. 10g pot to 170ml coconut oil and 30ml lecithin for a 20:1 mix. Itsp is enought to get great pain relief for almost 24 hours and a great buzz before bedtime. The buzz is like being a bit drunk but no hangover. :)

So I made 200ml for the price of the pot, $90. 40 doses @ 5ml each so $2.25/dose. Still too much so I'm growing my own CBD pot now. Will have some Otto#1 in about 3 months and it's almost no THC at around 1% and up to 27% CBD tho can be as low as 10.

I figure to blend it with regular pot to get what I need. Plenty of that on the way too.

The CBD juice was $40 for 12ml and I got 2. Good to take the sharp edge off my arthritic pain but the cocobudder is way better.

:peace:

If 25mg is the threshold, ostensibly two droppers would be required, so I would start titrating at one and work up.

Yeah, I was going to start with 1/2...

So, I think its obvious that this was not a wise purchase. I'm sure I can find a reliable supplier of CCO.

Meanwhile, we'll try out this stuff and let you know how it goes.
