Is it time? (Vanilla Kush)

I'm on the edge of my seat. I had kind of already decided that I would harvest today, but this is my first grow and I just need to make sure. It feels like it might be a bit early after reading about how long others are flowering.
I'm on day 52 since the flip. Unfortunately I didn't keep track of when the flowering actually began, but if I remember correctly it was about a week after the flip.
I've been seeing a few amber trichomes on the top buds for about a week, but I'm worried I still have too many clear.

Looks done to me. Maybe another week.

A lot of growers say when you think it is done, wait another week.

Well, last week I thought I could probably harvest, but decided to give it a week more.
So it might finally be time. I'm so excited.

Keep checking the trichs on different parts of the plant to get a better overview. Very nice plant.

Trics are not the end all be all.

The whole plant will swell and experienced growers can just tell when it is ripe. Much like fruit and veggies there are a lot of signs that say the plant in ripe.

I guess you may chop it.
By the way she looks beautiful. Have a huge yield.

I think you can go two more weeks and let it beef up.

Ok. But I was planning on cutting her down around now, so I've had her in the dark for two days. If I put her back under the lights again won't that cause some stress?

I think if you would have stated in your first post that they have been sitting in the dark for two days the answers you have been given would be much different,

I would chop them if they have been in the dark for two days straight.

They should've flowered another 10 - 15 days.(possibly longer)
Now that you've kept them in the dark for days, it's too late for that now.

The big leaves should be changing fall colors before you harvest, the calyx will swell more than you think.
After pistils turn orange, they will recede further and turn dark red or almost non-existent.

I've never had a plant done in less than 65 days, most take ~70-84 days.

Oh well. I'll see how it goes. It was just an experiment, one plant, and I've been kind of winging it troughout. It was fun and I've learned a lot. I'll add you guys info to the list. Next one will be great.
It's just a bit hard to figure out sometimes. There's a lot of conflicting advise out there. Experience is probably the key.

Every plant grown is a new experiment, you have to learn from each one regardless of how many times you grow one. I started a notebook in 1978, and I have been keeping notes ever since. Learn from each grow.

I snuck a little taste and I am pretty satisfied. I don't think it's a great yield, but I kind of messed up here and there. I'm looking forward to applying what I've learned to the next lady.
