is it safe to adjust ph when plants are in buckets?

one of my plants has a HUGE root system it litarally almost raises the rez level by the equivalent of half a gallon of solution! sorry I'm:bigjoint:

anyway, usually i use ph down daily to adjust the ph but since the root ball is so big i fell like the ph down falls on the roots is this bad or unsafe?

it'd be a pain in the ass to have to lift the whole plant out of the bucket to adjust the ph, but whatever is best for my baby i guess!

If you are worried about it...grab a cup of water, and throw your PH drops in it...mix it up and dump it in...thats how I do it anyways and it works for me =). Good Luck!

Hello Arrozkongandulez.....

I am not sure how you are set up......I will share what I do.....I have a big barrel for my res, and I adjust the PH of my barrell to make up for what my PH is doing in my buckets.....My bucket PH tends to want to go lower so I rise the PH in my barrel......example.....If I have my barrel set at 5.8 my buckets will be 5.0ph for some reason.....So I rise my barrel up to 6.1 to 6.2 and through out the week it will naturally climb up to 6.7 to 6.8....and my buckets will be around 5.8 to 6.2...right where I want it.....I adjust PH once a week

I have been growing the same strain and useing the same nutes for a while so I got it dailed in....

I never really liked the idea of adding PH up or down in my buckets ....just my barrel....I can't lift any of my plants up but I can pump them out real easy....when I want to check my PH in my buckets I just turn on my pump and pump a gallon or two out and see what they are doing.....

I have a six bucket set up and right now they are useing over 7 gallons a day.......I don't know if I helped any.....just thought I would share some info...........nitro...

I put my ph down directly into my buckets. I don't have a main rez so that is my only option. Once I have more space I will do a RDWC and do all my adjustments in the rez.

I don't see a problem as long as you can lift the plant out of the bucket adjust the PH then set the plant back in the bucket..........nitro..

I adjust my buckets with roots in there, never an issue in 4+ years.. stop worrying you are probably do things that hurt your plants more then adjusting PH while they are in there.
