Is it normal for all of my fan leaves to fall off?

My plant is about 4ft tall. Started outside in the ground then was uprooted and givin to me about the time it started to show sex so i thru it into 12/12 as soon as i got her. it is the middle of week 7 flower.

every fan leaf that was on the plant when i got it has fallen off at this point, yet i see new growth on the tips daily. Aslo my buds are fat, the two main colas are really fat. i would compare them to a can of spray paint. but there are so many smaller leaves on the buds that you can even really see the bud unless you look from underneath. has this happened to anyone? do you think it might just be this strain? seems to be doing ok with only clusters of leaves around the buds. also it is bagseed but seems to be mostly sativa as it is tall and the fan leaves that i did have were mostly skinny. not super skinny, but skinny.

it's normal for it to start losing it's larger fan leaves. It just means that the plant is reaching the end of it's life cycle, putting all of it's energy into producing cannabanoids and fatter buds. That's what happened to me on my first grow, it started losing lots of fan leaves from the bottom of the plant around week 6 of flowering.

I had a haze strain that lost all the fan leaves too. It had a shit load of leaves in the buds too...it looked different from all my other plants. Everything turned out fine, it must be certain strains. Good luck

Yes don't cut them early, worst thing you can do after being patient for soo long. If you can...go down to a hydro store and buy a handheld microscope to check out the thc close up. When you see them turn from clear to milky white, they are done....it's all preference though. Some leave them til they are slightly amber. The more clear, the more head stone, the more amber the more body stone I think

Also, don't cut any fan leaves off that aren't dead or already falling off. They produce a shit load of sugars for the plant, which are used for buds. So just don't go cutting off perfectly good fan leaves. If they are dead and shriveled then you can take them off for sure.

I thought I'd resurrect this thread... this has happened to my Kali Mist (sativa dom) as well. Nearly all fan leaves have fallen off and only the smaller bud leaves are left. I'm now into day 103 of flowering, and all my trichs are still milky - not even a hint of amber. The seed pack suggested flowering would be complete between day 75 to 95.

Does anyone know if the fact that all the fan leaves are gone will delay the maturation? I have LOTS of big fat buds, but none look done yet when I examine under the magnifying glass. Is there a point where I'm going to start losing THC if this goes on too long? I assume like all plants, it can become overripe and I will lose potency.

This is my first grow, and I'm worrying I've done something terrible to my special gal.

Thanks all.
