hey guys, first timer here. last night i noticed that the soil in this one pot was still very wet even after not watering for three days. so i decided to investigate and think i waited too long. i had taken the pot to the kitchen sink and stuck a pencil in the drainage holes and water began to run steadily for about a minute and continued to drip for about another ten. after the water had stopped dripping i started tapping the sides of the pot to try to breakup the compacted and water logged soil. then i simply put her back under the lights and waited fir improvement. after only one night! i didnt see any improvement but rather a dramatic decline in health. the top pics are from.last night and the bottom two are from today. i have another plant witch is thriving and doing very well. so i dont think its a deficiency of some but that i might have drowned her. is she a goner? should i invest all the remaining resources and light into my last plant or can she be saved? what do you all think?

No do give up on her at all. Simply repot her in new soil and watch the majir come back. Ive noticed that plants will speak to you and tell you what they need. I went through the same thing but she and my instict told me to carefully repot her. She was like "repot me NOW," i was like done! Your girl has a whole life ahead of her. Giving up is not an option.o_O:peace:

nice recovery, but eah I wouldn't give up on a plant until the main stem is brown, there pretty good with making a comeback.
Yea you aint lying bro. And you just taught me something. Never give up until the STEM turns BROWN. Normally i wouldnt give up but you said until the stem is brown.

If you think you have overwatered a plant put a good fan breeze on it for a couple days.

Make bigger drainage holes and make sure they don't get plugged.

I did this once when I accidentally got that miracle gro moisture control soil. I carefully flip my pot upside down and took my whole plant out of the pot with the soil and let it sat until my soil was dry again. She recover like a champ!! These plants are very strong.

I have no problem with MG soil. I grew some dank with them from the past to the present. I prefer the potting soil over all other MG soil. Hell I can veg two month is just plain water using MG soil no nutrients needed bro. As a matter of fact this girl here is in left over MG soil and looking healthy in my opinion. Most noobs tend to over nutes in MG soil is what I notice. Is that the MG organic your using?

Whats up bro! Yea thats MG im using for that plant. Just straight out the bag. I do believe it is a good soil nice and rich to be a simple base soil. It does good with retaining moister and drying accordingly. The new plant loves it.

I agree with you. A lot of people bash MG soil, but it does the job for me. I like to add some perlite to the mix and I'm done. Plain water once a week and its a wrap. So simple.

That's what's up. I afraid to add anything to mines. It was a disaster last time. I added blood meal, kelp and other stuff...I was a noob. It burnt up every clone!! LOL..lesson learn. Keep in touch and definitely let me know if it turns out good. I'm down to try it again. I've been using MG and pro-mix from home depot lately. Its been great so far.
