Is C99 Breeding Material?

I am just wondering guys, I know this off the top sounds like a retarded question amiright? However the reason I ask is because it is from a fem seed. I was thinking of hitting her with some jackberry or some sannies jack pollen when she comes to maturity.

Any thoughts on this?

A ton of breeders think it is. IMO it is better suited for breeding than growing by itself. That 7 week window is very appealing for a Sativa, but could use some beefing up in the yield and potency department (which Killing Fields could do on both counts).

Would be a nice little cross to do a sugar punch c99 combo and a killing fields c99 combo.

I also have some other potential males that I could hit the C99 with

Jack The Ripper
Apollo 13 BX
Grandpa Larry
Goji OG x GDP
Loud Seeds Lebanese

I have know clue where Lebanese is but if it is a Land Race it will probably need some breeding to come to something I want.

Im using it in a cross I'm doing. So far ive got blue rhino (dj blueberry x mr nice medicine man) x C99. Im now going to cross that to a blue lime pie from sin city and a tahoe og from cali conn, seperately of course :) so far its been very promising!

i'd personally try and steer clear of anything that's just a bunch of polyhybrids, which would rule out most of subcools gear.

not impressed with c99 st0w? i grew it, and i wasn't blown away either tbh.. i had it built up in my head, oh, the holy grail of strains, blah fucking blah..
didn't live up to what i had it hyped it to be..

The A13 is relatively closely related to C99 as well. Most of Subcools gear has some relation. It's usually more interesting to do different pools of genetics against one another - you get that vigor you are really looking for and of course sometimes magic happens.

Which version did you try? I think the reason it's not longer as legendary is breeding and preservation practices employed. It's become better suited as breeding material as I think it's become pretty inbred by those who have preserved it in most cases.

That said, for something not quite so wow - it's really good smoke. I love it during the day. The flavors are great and the high is super awesome during the day. Usually puts me in a good mood. That's Peaks interpretation of Frost's version mind you. Female seeds version coming down in the next day or so I think. At least some of it is.

What about a nice haze? or the lebanese? Jackberry and Sannies Jack are both good to breed with it.

[ Also I don't necessarily want to just breed c99 I just figured why not make a cross of her and try to bring down some of the longer sativa flowering times. That would be sweet! :D

i did the frost bro's version oge..
i wouldn't say it's not good smoke, because it is, and yields well too.. i just had this strain so hyped up in my own head, after reading about it and waiting to try it for so long, that i don't think pretty much anything could live up to the hype tbh..
i know that others love the same strain..

I thought the C99 I had was breeding material. I used it for my first breeding project, which was a cross with a Sinmint Cookie male I selected. I posted pics of it in the sincity seed thread and in my journal right near the end if you'd like to check her out. I think I got something pretty special from the first 10 seeds I tried out.
