They just wanted him off the land, if they really wanted to teach him a lesson because of this problem on going for nearly 20 years now, they could have gave him some hefty fines.

Just a case of the stubborn old man, he was raised in a different time, hes old, he doesn't know new laws or sees why he should follow them considering hes been doing this for decades.
He hasnt paid his grazing fees like the other ranchers for the last 20 years. He owes us (you and me) over a million dollars

He can just pay his fees like all the other ranchers that have been working that same land for over a 100 years.
BTW here is a little economic theory for you

In 1833 William Forster Lloyd published a pamphlet on herders sharing a common parcel of land on which they are each entitled to let their cows graze. In English villages (as with mountain countries in Europe), shepherds had sometimes grazed their sheep in common areas, and sheep ate grass more severely than cows. Overgrazing could result because for each additional sheep, a herder could receive benefits, while the group shared damage to the commons. If all herders made this individually rational economic decision, the common could be depleted or even destroyed, to the detriment of all

I side with the feds on this one no matter what.
The man is a stubborn old fool, he thinks his ways of the 1930s are here to stay and he has no reason to change his views.
Hes dead wrong, hes wrong hes wrong hes wrong hes wrong hes wrong, final.

The sad part is all the people coming out with their guns and posters showing him support, who are more than likely to get hurt or die in crossfire when shit hits the fan (Which it will soon) and he'll be fine because they want to make an example out of him and arrest him, but all those others with their guns their might die for showing aggression and legally die.

On topic, if you didn't know already, the BLM came back with reinforcements just like I guessed, only makes sense from a tactic point of view.
Tell them your leaving, pack up and leave, go home get some sleep, regroup in morning with 10x more equipment and agents, let the showdown begin.

Did you really say someone legally died? I thought that if you died you only die once.

Yes I did.

The federal agents can legally kill anyone who shows aggression towards them, that is what I meant.
The people standing their ground, helping that old man, or just protesting on the side lines, probably don't think this is really going to turn into a gun fight because of all the civilian support.
Man are they wrong, because when shit hits the fan, they will be the first to get hit in the crossfire and try to sue when injured or a friend/family members dies that night.
Luckily though the federal agents have a right to kill them legally since they are armed, they are interfering with a court order, and they are showing aggression by piling up in the numbers with assault rifles and shit.

I probably used it in the wrong context, but what I mean is they can die and it will be 100% legal.

I don't think it matters, when you die your dead. (im just fkn around)

But I do think the Rancher is in the wrong, and all the monkeys out there to help him are gonna get hurt. HOPEFULLY not though, no one wants a bloody mess.

This whole thing has very little to do with cattle and an old codger trying to graze cattle and more about government overstepping itself to send out 300 armed agents to enforce a law.

Its like setting children on fire just because you suspect that they know someone who might have committed a crime.

So they overstepped by enforcing multiple court orders?
Should they just keep asking "pretty please" after 20 years of doing so?
