I am following this story. And I believe that the feds may be out gunned again, like they were in Waco on the first day..

I've been following this story, and honestly, at first, I was siding with the guy.
He hasn't just lost one court battle, but two.
He lost all credibility by not following judges orders.

It's completely different when you don't see it from all aspects.

I remember when they first reported this, they gave no indication as to the context of the showdown.
It was just reported as "Showdown between farmer and police"

Now its farmer loses court battle twice, ordered to remove cattle from public land, refuses to and showdown commences.

The feds moved his cattle because he wouldn't himself after he was ordered to, he has been fighting this for nearly 20 years, hes an old man who's stubborn is all.

Not enough details to know, and public land might be exempt. But he may own it through adverse possession

You're correct, and there are rumors of that.

This is taken from a very knowledgeable person.


Once a law goes into effect, it doesn't matter if you were alive before that law went into effect... you still have to follow that law. Whether its about grazing your cattle on public land, or whether its if you need a license in order to drive a car. Eventually, new laws enacted by elected officials, will come to bear on us all - regardless of who we are.

They purchased their land in the 1870's... back then we had the BLM... just a different name for it then.


Now, At the time the Bundy's made the purchase of their 150 acre farm their was a shift in policy change concerning federal land:


However, in 1934 the Taylor grazing act meant that ranchers could still obtain permits to graze on these federal lands:

So now the BLM was two offices, one for settlement and one for public use. Which changed in 1946 when they merged two federal departments into one which was called the BLM.

Today, you have two main groups who dispute about the main priorities of what the BLM should be and do... and split loyalties concerning what the BLM should be being used for. Those two main groups are the republicans and the democrats.
And with a democrat as our sitting president, it's little wonder that now the BLM is preserving turtles instead of assisting with grazing rights. But... really... that's the democrats for you.. and Kali in this thread has proven.

Nevertheless, it isn't feds encroaching on anyone's rights... its the damn liberals, and since they are part of this country too, I suppose they have the same right to speak and vote as me... even if it's them wanting to preserve a damn turtle who is not endangered.

Whenever we vote - whenever we speak out or for something with a political voice, this IS what we do... we decide whether some guy someday is going to be able to graze his herd on public land or not.

And this year... its not. The democrats win round 1. That said.. we all have to respect the opinions of eachother.. we are all living together after all. We don't have to agree... we do have to make sure our asses our protected against idiocy though.. this point should be well taken all the way around.

Don't let your livelihood revolve around something that's not legally yours that you have no legal say over.

They just wanted him off the land, if they really wanted to teach him a lesson because of this problem on going for nearly 20 years now, they could have gave him some hefty fines.

Just a case of the stubborn old man, he was raised in a different time, hes old, he doesn't know new laws or sees why he should follow them considering hes been doing this for decades.

I hope the govt wasn't waterboarding the cattle like some of the new reports have stated. the govt is gonna have 50,000 patriots mobilized within hours if this is true. Last year bundy was finding some of his cattle mutilated in the same fashion of satanist ritual magik. So Bundy had a preacher come out and handle some snakes to scare the devil worshippers off this public land cuz it's typical slippery slope shit first a cattle mutilation and next they're kidnapping some campers. Bundy is a true patriot of god and because of this the illumin..... Govt decided to get courts involved.

Shit I did it to the wrong person, it was the other guys pet peeve of oxymorons.

Just an update, it seems the situation has blown over.

The BML are now pulling out of the area after they decided this is just too much risk for their agents & civilians.
No word on if it's just a tactic to get everyone to go home and they'll come back, but as far as it's being reported by people in the area, the BML have left.

I just figured out how to get free mountain bikes and skis!

I also saved myself from having to buy some new golf clubs today, too.
