If you already have 2 23w lights start with one 23w then when the plants gets a bit bigger go with the 2 23w and so on.

i have 1 plant, i have 2 42 W (2700 lumens) and 3 26 watt (1700 lumens) in a single box...

i did a lot of things wrong back in the day, and i only had a 27 day veg (i was anxious to complete this one, it's my first grow too)...i only vegged with 2 26 watt daylights....i did plenty wrong..... but it's looking good now... i'm hopiing for 1/2 oz or a lil less of really good bud (haven't smoked it but if it's looks and smell are any indication)... i'm a happy customer, i'll start another grow as soon as this one is done. i spent about 120 bux and if i get 1/2 oz out of this grow i'll already have gotten my money back, more cuz i'm using the box again.... :D

get some clamp lights from walmart, get 3 42 watt softwhite bulbs, and a 4 pack of 26 watt daylights and a 4 pack of 26 watt softwhites.... get some Y sockets and extendors from home depot and your good to go!!

good luck

I use the 42 watters for top lighting and the 26 watts for side....

not when it's small, but when it's bigger yep....

i'd get more light but my girl (who lives with me) gets on my ass about power consumption, but my next grow is already under way, it's a clothes tent lined with emergency blankets, 5 plants in 3 gallon pots, gonna LST the shit out of them, right now for light I got 3 42 watt softwhites, 6 26 watt daylights and 4 26 watt softwhites.... and they're only a week old.......

i would've gone HPS but i didn't want to deal with the heat.... but for this 5 plant grow i'm looking at adding a 400 watt HPS and keep the small daylight bulbs for side lighting.... i just gotta see what the lady says... hehe

for veg use 4 26 watt daylights, and 1 42 watt softwhites, .... that'll be 3 clamp lights from walmart...and 2 y sockets from home depot.... remember that more light = more bud...

its fine to start with! you should know if it needs more light by how quickly it grows and how it looks. as you grow add more light the plant will be happy as you add more and more. we all do it so don't worry everyone adds more light on there first grow
