Is 50 percent humidity ok?

Hey everyone, I just planted some bag seeds yesterday in Miracle Grow Organic Choice inside of a small grow box under a 400 watt metal halide light. My temperature is a constant 77-78F and my humidity is about 49%. I was extra careful not to water the soil too much because I am aware of easy nute burn with MG. I came back this morning and the soil looked totally dry, even when I stuck my finger in a little bit the soil felt dry. Are my seeds dead because of the dryed up soil? Is 50 percent humidity even ok to germinate and raise little seedlings in?

some people grow in miracle grow and think its great, but my personal opinion is that its not more of a back woods growers soil...no offense.I wouldn't start seeds in any medium that has nutrition added to it.I soak my seeds in a cup of water at room temp for 24 hrs and then put them in rockwool soaked with water.I then stick them in a humidity dome and stick them in my closet on a heat mat to keep the medium room temp.Your seed is probably fine.it usually takes 5 days to two weeks for seeds to germinate in my experience.
