It's for all intents and purposes automatic. AFAIK you can get decent yields running 18/6 from seed but to get over a QP you need to veg to around 12" and then put it in 18/6. Seems not that big a deal to me and worth it as I've heard it is really really strong smoke (most autos I have tried are not ie: Low Ryder and I tried an NL#5 Auto from I don't know where, I did not grow either and I probably wouldn't grow any true autos). Good luck, hopefully the genetics keep getting better for Autos, but I don't really like them much in principle... breeders breed them and fems to force people to buy seeds. Not a fan.

I have grown most of the autos out there but Iranain auto is in a league all of its own for potency and yield. Nothing else i've seen comes even close

thanks mr.mustard i was looking for someone who has actually grown the strain did you have to order them from dr.greenthumb or do you no some were else that has them and did you do a journal or anything or have any pics of it i would love to see it and find out more about it its not to late i could still get it and grow them out

see this is were im confused still. with an auto how do you veg if they start flowering automaticaly? you say they are a true auto but then again you say veg them then change the light to make them flower. there for if you have to change the lights to make a strain flower then it would be a photo period strain and not a 100% auto correct me if im wrong here or explain please so im not confused cause im reading ur post and scratching my head....................................

I wouldnt run an auto on less than 20/4. I do 24/0 thru harvest. Autos will flower under any light regime within usually 21- 30 days.

having grown a few autos and never harvested much but crap from them the only winner i have tried was dr.greenthumbs iranians. 4-6 ozs easy with good grow time and great buds, buzz, the whole shebang. i wouldn't dare wasting my money on any other autos unless they are given to me at this point. i can't personally see why anyone would.
will be putting some out again this year for the third year. if you have questions call him last i knew he is more than willing to talk and answer questions for you a stand up guy. try that at attitude. or most other banks for they won't give you the time of day.

I specifically said they are not true autos, but for most folks, behave as such, because most folks run 18/6 and because they will start to flower at most latitudes very early in the season (really at any point after they are doing vegging on their own naturally they will flower at most latitudes, if you are quite north they might not and I have read journals suggesting as much). It is good to have the option to be able to veg them under 24 hrs light. It means you can clone. It means you can grow giant plants.

so you can veg and clone these plants and if you keep them under 24hrs the will grow untill you put them under 18-6 is this correct

they may not be "true autos" but true autos have all been substandard as far as quality. don't worry so much about the label they are good plants and very quick.

the wet weight was the bud and stems pictured at 469 grams.That planted yield dry at 4ounces 1 gram.sorry for the confusion.

Gotta call ya on this one most auto's Ive grown are far from substandard.The quality is very good on most of them .some paticular strains I like are syrup,red dwarf, and afgan kush ryder.I 've been smoking decades and live in a medical state so I've had the best of the best.That afgan kush is right up there with a great head high and if ya feel brave it'll couch lock the shit outta ya.

thats cool i will admit to only trying a few when they first became the rage. i have not purchased any in about two years. things change. if i didn't have so many iranians and other things i want to try i would give one of your recomendations a go. have made note of what you said and maybe will get the chance to try one of them. thanks.

how about the yeild on any of those? i like the iranian yeild it's easy to get 4-6 ozs when treated correct. and that is in 95-105 days which is not bad.
believe me i used to think that is crap having relied on reg season plants my outdoor grows but harvesting in early july makes up for it.

Usually between 2-3 ounces tho the afgan kush yieldes a solid 20 ounces on 5 plants.

if you go back a few pages you will see pics of the afghan kush ryder and its yield of 4 Ozs and a link to the blu himilayin diesel that also yielded over 4 Ozs i cant wait to start these to see what they will do with really good nutes and almost perfect conditions

ok thanks for the info mate, i may have to give that afgan kush a go. where do you buy from? i have had issues with attitude in the past and would rather not go through them but i have been out of the buying game for a few years i am sure there are a dozen new places to order that are good.
the autos i didn't like in the past were lowryder and some lowryder crosses.
years ago i used to grow mighty mite crosses which were sort of auto and with some good crosses i had some wonderful plants are those not considered an auto? i had some mighty mite x super skunks done by early sept with a lb++ each of decent bud. back then they called that autoflower.

Yes, this is how Iranians are according to people who have grown them and I have not. So I can't 100% confirm or deny. They might flower under other light schedules as well (20/4).
