Kind of sucks. The local bigwigs have kept dispensaries out of the county, except for a couple in Monterey and Carmel that opened in the past year or so. Monterey County is a giant ag producer, giant greenhouses available for growing, but no one has done much if anything with cannabis here, AFAIK. We do have delivery services, but I've never used one and don't plan to. I get my flowers and clones, etc., from places in Santa Cruz, San Jose or (just once) Berkeley.

I've been growing my own in my dinky little closet and would love to be a little more "professional" about it or "take it to scale," but at this stage of development it's still a "gold rush" environment where greenhorns like me think they can just show up and cash in.

I don't know if the CEO at Altai is getting a bad rap or what, but I do know from history that it can get messy and that the "gold rush" will draw in hucksters and other shady operators to take advantage of newbies like yours truly.

Hope all my fellow stoners and growers are doing well.
