hey @CobKits is there a post in here that shows like how many citi chips will fit on a given driver like the 1818 cob on a mw 185-1050 or 1400ma ? or do we just have to figure all that out. maybe its time you make a chart like supra did for cree and mw but for citi and mw,series wiring please lol

I am waiting for clu048 holder restock.
Since I have time,I am planning different option.
1212 on hlg185-36 b version
1818 on hlg185-54 b version.
I know you do not stock them and if I want them you should order it.
My problem is I need to have driver far from tent,and b version with a 100k pot for dimming is very important to me.
You say hlg-185-48 b version is locked to max 49v so it is not appropriate for 1818,so I have to look at 54v version
My 2 question are:
1)if I take hlg-185-54 b,how many watt can I use from it with 1818 (from 4 to 7,per driver)
2)how much would cost the driver (cost for 3 hlg-185-36b, coat for 3 hlg-185-54b)?

Will this driver be ok for 1818?
At 100% should be 530/550 watt,that I can dimm to 10% with resistive 100k (1 for each driver)pot,right?

yeah that can take 1818 out to 3.3A or so (180W). so its riht around your ballpark

i gotta say 1825 is a far better chip in that range, ~15% more efficient and a little lower voltage so you can max that 54b out

I will use 4 cob per driver,than upgrade to 7 per cob once price drop

Each one you add in reduces heat, improves efficiency and provides more uniformity

4 cobs per driver are fine sorry i thought you were at 1 cob per driver. yeah 1818s are good, thats 862 mA per cob and will be a very efficient 492 mA if/when you upgrade
