Intake Problem! Help

I got a 231cfm fan intake in a 4.6x4.6 room..

problem is my room is just a few inches sorter then my ceiling.

so my intake is pulling air from right above the grow tent.. and there isnt enough room to have a 6" hose squeeze in between the tent and ceiling.

so is this acceptable or Must i have the air coming from further away..

my exhaust is going to be pumped out of the building though..

Why don't you snorkel it?

Just run a pipe from the top to the bottom of your tent or some thing close

I bought an intake filter for a furnace and cut it in half and put it in front of the intake hole

no need for an active intake if your exhaust will be pushed out of the building. passive should be fine.

as long as the air is moving it will replace itself. cold air rushed to warm air like opening the freezer so dont worry as long as its running you will be just fine
