Induction Lights? The newest (supposedly) technology in Induction Grow Lights

Nice video Scar. Might get a few more people to look at induction as a legitimate option to their HID travails. But if Riant ever wants to do a side by side with Inda-Gro I can see about making that happen.

Saw this nice run of Speedberry and Blueberry Gum @ day 47 I thought to share here. hmm hmmm hmmm!!!

This grower thought to take a shot of just the 660's running at lights on. This really shows how much FR the Pontoon contributes in terms of distribution during lights on.

The guy doing the 300w led vs 200w induction comparison grow showed its tied now!
His first pic was Swazi vs tangarene dream. Not a fair comparison.

But the TD under the induction light looks bit better than the TD under LED.

Is it a indagro 200 watt? Daryl at indagro says he uses borosilicate glass that allows 2-3% UVB to pass through which should help in trichome and THC production.

Its not an inda gro 200, I think its china direct like his LEDs.

I believe most flouro is borosilicate / Pyrex.
t5 use alumisilicate.

Hey Scar! You don't have to think or guess. I'll tell you.

I've had a little experience with most lighting technologies and have been sampling and using induction lamps in my gardens for about 4 years now. I landed on Inda-Gro and have been using their lights for going on three years now and have been directly involved in the sale of more than a few to gardens I've had the pleasure of working on. They do build their lights in San Diego with a phosphor mix that is a proprietary blend sourced from Nichia in Japan and installed by a glass mfg in China. The drivers are built in San Diego under their own UL file number FNFT2.E354510. They also use an argon/krypton mixture as it activates their phosphors with a different operating voltage inside the lamp. PAR spectral photoluminescencence benefits from these and other technical differences that I'm not entirely privy to.

The Pontoons are also built in San Diego with parts sourced from the USA and worldwide. The Pontoon is designed to do things that no grow light manufacturer has done which is precisely why it's being patented. I was involved from the very beginning with that project and I've seen the benefits of what a well placed 660/730nm wavelength can do from the smallest, to the not so small garden. The Pontoon is not a China direct development. So while you may embrace your China direct relationship with Riant and assert they are a less expensive equal to an Inda-Gro, who you want to believe just rebrands a Chinese product anyway, I can tell you from having been to their facility in San Diego and watching them being made there, that this is simply not the case.

I'm glad you're happy with your Riant 400 watt induction lights. But a run against these two brands will illustrate the differences that exist between them. And it's because of those differences that Inda-Gro continues to be specified by traditional AG commercial farms and major universities for their own controlled environment greenhouses and indoor gardens research Some of these projects are truly inspiring in that consist of everything from growing plants for biofuel to expanding crop diversity worldwide with the use of their lamps and controls. In fact I attended the recent ASHS conference in Palm Desert and getting to speak with many of the academics who I had the pleasure of reading their papers and seeing for myself their reaction to what Inda-Gro was bringing to the market was met with high level of enthusiasm was personally rewarding. I was only there for a day but I felt like I was walking amongst giants the entire time. I left there feeling that the approach Inda-Gro is taking, with a hybrid approach of SSL and EFDL, is very likely to become the standard that serious growers demand from their investment. It will not be a Chinese direct option to any of these folks if the product does not deliver and is not supported to the extent that Inda-Gro does with theirs regardless of if the Chinese sells an 'Inda-Gro equal' that is a few hundred bucks cheaper.

Lastly I was invited to the upcoming Agro-Nomics convention which will be held in Reno, NV. Inda-Gro is sponsoring and will be exhibiting at this show as well. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend but take a look at who will be attending this show. To get the Monsanto's of the world to put on a white hat and see the sideways morph it can do in recognizing the commercial viability of large scale indoor gardening with the use of technologies, like induction lighting systems, have worked hard to change traditional perceptions and bring these technologies to market in an effort to repurpose abandoned inner city warehouses, provide jobs and agricentric training for youths, etc... this is the magnetic north mission of these guys. I would encourage Riant, IGrow, IBeam and other EFDL/LED companies that market to indoor gardening to quit pissing all over each other and participate in these events. It's the only way the world will see that there are legitimate options to HID and there really are legitimate manufacturers out there willing to support that transformation. http://www.agro-nomics.org/

Riddle posted this yesterday on Mr kite high / illumination
"I make this post with a hard and heavy heart, just got a txt from Doe.

It seems that my last post was the calm before the storm, that Lumi was awake and that him and Doe were able to communicate meaningfully, I am so happy that occurred !!!

but since then he has been lifeless, for the past two days his body has just laid there with no sign of "him" she did not say coma but it sounded "like" a coma, could be the meds holding him down, I don't know?

But she is now waiting and expecting the worse and she is now praying that he be allowed to take his final journey and allow the pain and hurt to end. It is extremely hard to watch a loved one suffer and I told her that I understand

I, like all of you am hoping for the best but it is not looking good"

Dam.....

"Today our friend Lumi (Max) passed into the next life at 0947 AM Mountain Standard Time. He had an easy passing at the end. I got a call from the hospital at about 6am that he was near the end of this life. I got there and had them give him plenty of Dilaudid to ease his breathing and then climbed up in the bed with him and held him until he was gone. I will miss him terribly. My heart is broken. He was bigger than life in everything he did. I loved him always and know how very much he loved me, as well. We always felt at ease with each other...I have known him for many lifetimes and will know him again in the next ones to come. He was my best friend, my lover, my companion and my biggest supporter. His intelligence was amazing and his compassion for others even greater. He never met a stranger. Just know that he truly cared about and loved each and every one of you and that he would want you to go on and find "The Cure" for other people's suffering. He could just never get there...the physical exertion of the grow left him so depleted that he could never get to the point of making his cure. But now he is whole and well and pain free at last. How very fitting that he passed as the Earth moved into the equinox.

I opened this in my email this morning and it is so appropriate. It is from www.1111angels.net

“On this day of the Equinox, when Summer turns into Fall, many people are waking up and praying for peace on this dark planet, rife with wars and rumor of wars. Right now it would be expedient for you to remember that peace must begin in each human heart. The problem is that most words for peace are hollow, because they are not coming from inner actions to change the person from within. The problem is that these calls for peace, even though they sound wonderful, are machinations of the minds that have no origin in the heart, so worthwhile actions are not being taken to do away with all your war machinery. Materialism is seen as all-important, so there is hardly any room left for personal spirituality.

“What will it take for humankind – all thinking individuals included – to wake up and start thinking about time wasted on material pursuits? Truly, how will you feel once you have entered upon the next stage of your eternal existence? For this is the meaning and purpose of your life in the flesh, that in looking back over your life on earth you will see the good you have done as well as the time you will have squandered. It is important here and now that you fully realize that your becoming more spiritual must be your aim, if you are choosing eternal life during this mortal existence on planet earth.

“Will you be filled with regret and bemoan the fact that too little time was used by you to generate peaceful feelings towards one another? Did you practice forgiveness on a consistent basis? Did you remember to feed the poor and sick, who could not fend for themselves? Did you help someone who needed a hand to get back on his or her feet? What use were you to the planet at large, however little this usefulness might have been. Start thinking and behaving responsibly, as if God matters, always and in all things, for indeed, He does.

Love and Light
I will love you forevermore My Max

~Doe

PS: Max hated the term "goodbye"...we never said it to each other. We always said "Later" and indeed I will see him later and so will all of you. Much love to you all."

I thought Kite was getting better. He posted in strain reviews and one of uncle bens threads a week or 2 ago. He even pm'd his number to me after he heard I got robbed. I never called him. It seemed awkward not personally knowing him. Now I feel like shit that I didn't call him. I don't even know if I still have that pm in my inbox.. No one else has the vast knowledge of CMH and UV that he has...

Damn Scar, that sucks big ones. For the record my like was that you were warning people about riant, not about your light dieing... I gotta say though I am surprised that they are being this dickish to ya. I mean I have never heard you put them down, quite the opposite really. Looks like they just lost a good, and not to mention one of few customers they have (do not see anyone else on this site using one). That purple hue to that lamp is something else though lol.

I am very confused your light. It is normal color temperature 5000K for your induction lamp ?
It seems this is not professionl spectrum for plant growing.
You had been known that the blue spectrum is very needed for initial grow such as seeding and vegetable growing, and red spectrum is very important for plant flowering.

It is useful to plant growing from your experence ?

We produced this special spectrum for induction lamp. Hope to get any discussion.
