Indoors to Outdoors

Hey guys,

I'm growing some plants indoors and they already have one week under the HPS but things aren't going as expected. Out of the 30 plants only 6 are doing good. I don't wanna waste a lot of money on electricity so I transplanted 1 this morning outdoors in my backyard where it gets a lot of sun to see how it does. Is this a good idea? Will my plant keep growing or will it start to show it's sex? any suggestions?

I vegged them for 3 to 4 weeks under cfl. The problem came when i put the hps that's why i transplanted this one outside to see how it does.

Indoor grows arent my speciality but it sounds like the plants are too hot. HPS lamps produce a lot of heat so the grow room needs really good ventilation. In terms of whether the plants goes into a flowering cycle depends on where you live. Have a look at this site for help

It's supposed to start flowering when I put it outside because i had it before 24/0 under the cfl.

It won't flower unless there is less than 12hrs of sunlight. If it's anymore the plant will just carry on vegging

You can veg fine under a HPS.

How are the other factors in your grow room? What is your temps, watering routine, growing medium...etc
