Hey guys, I just built this box, waiting on mylar and a few other things before I get more plants in here, I'm new to growing weed and it is legal for me here in Washington State. I just moved these guys from a modified dog kennel and got them under 4 5000k cfl's at a constant 24 hours of lighting. I am planning to add more in the next couple of days. I have a little oscillating fan blowing just enough for some leaf movement and I water with tap water every 4 days. I am using some of this Sta Green Soil and it seems to be working alright. I just had a few questions. On the bigger guy the leaves seem to be kind of warped a bit and the new leaves coming in look kind of frail. Also the color on the other one seems to raise some questions. I am obviously probably paranoid but here are some HD pics for all you cool cats.

The one in the green pot has some weird like creases in the leaves and I was just kind of curious if thats an issue.
The one in the White pot is a different strain, these guys were from seeds found in two different bags of dispensary weed.
I know for sure one of them is Pineapple Express and the other is unknown but it's killer once it flowers, BUT its kind of got some very faint speckles and I don't want to lose it due to a stupid noob mistake.
My girlfriends dad called it "America" when he grew it so he gave me a bunch of seeds to try out.
LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK. I'll be posting on here quite regularly. If you have any questions feel free to ask me anything, thank you!

The lights are 23W actually, but are the 100W equivalents. Put out 1600 lumens each. Where I live they sell them for 2 bucks per pack of 4 because the energy company likes to reward my town haha.

Anyways, I adjusted the bulbs and saw a little darkening near the ballast on one. Is this normal for these kinds of bulbs and should I swap it out? Plants seem to be very happy I put the bulbs closer. Going to keep an eye on them though.

what i generally do is put my hand directly over the top of my plant if the heat makes you wanna move it (AT ALL) pull the light back an inch, but sayin that i run a 125w cfl and cpuld get it less than an inch away.. they love light matey chap as much as you can give em

might wanna add some support to them, once they start sucking up that light they may get top heavy.
check your ph lvls. make sure they are not too high. i hear 6.0 - 6.8 is ideal

Ive just been wondering, just a random question but, if you can grow weed legally, how come go through all the bother to grow indoors. I wish i could just grow outdoor would be so much easier.
anyways, just a random question at 2:22 im the am. peace

i would be scared someone would steal my babies. plus i love the smell of fresh growth in my house.
But watch out for cats, err my brother babysit my plant for a weekend and his cat started eating the tips of my fan leaves.. lol silly cat, weed is for humans.

What is your temp there at leaf level?
That could be causing some of the wrinkling.
The sides of a CFL actually give off more light than the ends if you can adjust them a little.
Your second pic looks better, but as stated earlier, it's kinda late.
They are already stretched.
Bamboo skewers from the grocery store with twist ties for the veggie bags from the produce dept. work well for support, and can also be used later if you plan to LST.
A fan blowing across them will also simulate wind and help strengthen the long stems.
If you go to Wal Mart, in the sporting good section, grab a mylar emergency blanket for 2 bucks.
They are huge and work fine.
Just make sure you fasten the edges down good, because they rattle like hell if your fan blows on it.
Before you transplant, read this.

I don't grow outside because there are cats and my neighbors would probably try and get me to stop. Also I read somewhere they did research and not even roots grow at night with cannabis, so why waste time when you can grow inside and control the light and have a shorter grow time. Plus it rains too much here in WA, and a greenhouse cost more than this grow room did to build. Which you can't be free lumber from leftover projects.

Also I burned the shit out of one of my plants, I like sprayed some water on the leaves and didn't wipe it off so the water burned two leaves. It's gonna be okay, the new growth looks super good so no worries there. Just lots of noob mistakes. Gonna upgrade to a HPS when I flower for sure, Don't know about these CFL's there are a lot of people that say they give you fat tight buds and other people are saying its total crap and the buds are airy. The plants aren't sagging around any longer either :)

well the dense really depends, my last grow my buds were dense from cfls. a lot of things take into consideration while growing. HPS are awesome but if your limited on yoru space id be worried about heat issues.
