nowadays it's more and more difficult, but if they are dominant strains it's a lil easier
indicas are shorter thicker buds, usually more dense
sativas are longer, more "foxtail'ish"

sativas should not be crunchy unless its too dry.

there are MUCH more variants than that, as sativa and indica applies to cannabis from alllll over the planet
but as a general rule
