Soil, most of them are in super soil, have not made the full switch to organic, still got a lot of nutes to use... the first shot if from 4 months ago, the second is the from my harvest of plants on sunday

Added my Indagro at week 5 of flower to my 2 100 watt UFO LEDS. Pulled a little under a QP off of my second grow after barely pulling a ounce under the LEDS by themselves on my first grow. 2 master kush plants vegged for 4 weeks. Here's a shot of my 200 watt pontoon until I have the budget for the real one over 4 master kush plants vegged for 22 days and on day 15 of 12/12:20140408_080643.jpg 20140408_080703.jpg 20140408_085438.jpg 20140331_082255.jpg20140331_081410.jpg 20140401_185745.jpg 0403140648.jpg

that video was starting to give me flashbacks to sitting in Hort classes...

anyhew... i managed to find time last night to shoot an update!

here is day 58...

oh, also... i took the lights from 13/11 to 12.5/11.5 at the end of day 49, and then down to 12/12 on day 56. otherwise i was afraid these girls would just keep on going...

gotta get to work, but i'll try to sneak back at some point later in the day

:peace:

Id like inda grow to make a realy red spectra small lamp for red an far red suplement for flower

Like these guys.
Good read. http://www.econoluxindustries.com/Technology.html#Plant-Light Technology
Hiya Scar! The gardens looking good with lots of happy plants in there. Thanks for the updates and keep up the great work brutha! Much appreciated.

As to the Econolux, take a close look at their site, their 'research' and their products. This stuff is written by L. Michael Roberts who does know induction and has the contacts in China to get these built. However read what they put up and you'll see they throw every conceivable theory about induction, their products and plant growth and never once reaches a conclusion. Seriously look at the charts on their technology page and tell me what they are trying to get at?

http://www.econoluxindustries.com/Technology.html?#Plant-Light Technology

One of the reasons I threw in onthe IG Measuring Plant Light paper was to try and make what companies like econolux throw out there understandable to the average reader, get to the point with out rambling on about a lamps heat sink (seriously?), make it unbiased in terms technical comparisons and reach some conclusions along the way. There is no question, at least in my mind, that this paper has done that. To illustrate my point ask yourself how many times might you consider going back to the econolux site for plant lighting technical information when compared to the information given on the IG site?

http://www.inda-gro.com/pdf/MeasuringPlantLight.pdf

Point to any journal or side by side these guys have ever done anywhere? Of any plant, much less cannabis. I have seen their lamps in action and can tell you that a side by side with the IG, less Pontoon, will not even be a race. One last thing to consider before folks drop good money on this crap. If they have this proprietary blend that is so great for plant growth, why do they put one lamp in front of the other, effectively blocking off the rear lamps light output if the blend is so conducive to plant growth?

http://www.econoluxindustries.com/DataSheets/EconoLux Products Poster-2014-WEB.pdf

In conclusion: I think there needs to be legitimate competition in the EFDL plant lighting world but the Chinese direct claims, such as Riant, will only serve to hurt market acceptance and adoption. On the other hand industry 'experts' such as L Michael Roberts will use the 'kitchen sink' strategy in advertising his cheaply made Chinese products and throw every little detail he can muster at the consumer in an attempt to look smart. IMHO it will be guys like him, and others such as iGrow, that might very well hurt the technology as a whole in the minds of consumers who buy into the spiel, get anemic results and dismiss EFDL as a legitimate choice when comparing their results from plants grown under induction lamps to those which had been grown under HID lamps.

Something occurred to me today.

Why does a grow light mfg, who goes to all the effort to lay out all this detailed plant lighting technical information on their site, somehow decide to put 'lux' in their name?

I don't recommend trying this with your HID or T5 lamps.

Maybe when they're done screwing around with water and electricity I can convince them to build a 200 watt Pontoon. I'm working on it.
:hump:

so ya... the ladies are still trucking along... 2 days from closing week 10, and the trichomes are still all white; maybe 5% are ambering...

i've been really busy getting the next bloom rotation going (today is day 3) and prepping to rebuild the room that the 4x6 is in as soon as the 4x6 harvest is done, as i just bought a Gorilla 5x9 :fire: that i'm going to be putting one of the undercurrents in for the next-next run... i have many things planned, and love surprises... so i'm going to refrain from any hints or spoilers for now...

but i do have some pics of the big girls that i snapped last night...

heres the White Widow:

and the Big Black Cherry:

and the Qrazy Train:

but ya, see? no ambers... and so they get more time...

what happened to the bulb for killing bacteria and what not for clean water..? anyone can grow algae. all you need is any light and water. I know they are trying to grow a specific strain of algae....

The UVC sterilizer will be coming. The ones they have built work to well to not take them into production. As to the algae project, those lamps are specifically designed for direct submersion and operation with water on the surface of the glass. This is not as simple as dunking the lamp underwater since water has 8X the permittivity of air. The phosphors that are being used are tailored for specific freshwater complex algae forms that are fat soluble and can be used in nutraceuticals.

Very interesting chaz, 8x times the permittivity? doesn't that depend on water temp?..................... BUT get on those small panel pontoons ASAP!!!:)

We're dealing in the world of electromagnetism in an aquatic environment so there are factors that come into play which you don't encounter in free air. However what I do know is that the efficiencies that IG has built into these lamps will run at the same efficiency as in air and what would have been deal breakers have been overcome by the lamp modifications they have made. Should be very interesting as this new method of applying precise levels/spectrums of light for commercial algae cultivation gains a wider audience.

BTW thanks for the images on the Pro-100 with Pontoon garden. I'm hammering too. Hopefully this gets them down to a steady production run on them.
