In early may of this year there were some "tree-trimmers" who came by to trim up a few branches on our property. I was just leaving, and when i came back, one of my plants was stolen. The cocksuckers came back 2 more times trying looking "to trim branches". Both times i think they were deterred by my pack of dogs. It was quiet for the rest of the summer, until yesterday while i was away, the owner of the company came by and dropped off a business flyer. Obviously, i want them to stop coming by. I can't exactly call the cops for harassment/theft, considering what they stole. How can I wisely handle this sensitive situation in case they come back. Unfortunately, shooting them in not an option

one reason I only grow indoors. Are you in a state that might not be legal yet? if so, you cannot do anything but hope they do not drop a dime on ya. The sad thing is most of these pot plant thieves just cut a veg'ing plant and smoke it... wasting it. It is always a sinking feeling to know your private space has been violated, leaves you with an empty feeling.. let go of this negative feeling or they keep winning. good luck :+)

Thanks tiger ! yeah, I'm in a backwards southern bible-belt state which will probably be the last to legalize. Moving isn't an option right now, so i have to sit here and guard my plants. I'm seriously considering buying a firearm and presenting it the next time these motherfuckers show up to "trim my branches"

If it was in Texas no one would dare something like this... everyone packs-heat in that state, from what i hear-

I would get rid of the plants ASAP , if they will steal snitching is not below them

Most LE agencys offer cash rewards for tips that lead to arrests , my county gives out 500$ for a non-felony , workers for such ultilitys know these offers well becouse many agencys 'advertise' in their common area's

Or maybe just start growing indoors from here on out...taking a big risk growing outdoors in a state that inst MJ friendly, and now with strangers knowing a grow is occurring.

It is risky Mike, I agree.. however I don't have any equipment, money or space to set up a decent indoor atm. My hps ballast died a few months back and all i have left are some little cfl's (not enough lumens) for a good crop. We're going to have to tough this one out, and plan something more covert next year. We're growing because both my lady and I suffer from various conditions which i'm not going to get into here. In any of the "green states" - we would both have easily obtained a med marijuana card and a cultivation permit. My lady keeps talking about moving to Colorado for a taste of Freedom

Cool, I hope the rest of this goes smoothly for you. I wasn't trying to knock you for growing "illegally", so I hope you didn't take it that way. Also, good lcuk with going stealth, carports and shade cloths seem to be doing wonderful things for folks as far as producing yields of quality buds as well as maintaining some stealth.

Whether they steal plants under the cover of tree surgeons, or because they're in the neighbourhood, it won't change anything. If they're gonna steal them they're gonna steal them. Look at it as any other plant theft, in that you now know someone knows of them, and has shown they're happy to take them. Move them, else more will go missing.

Yeah, i have better plans for next season. Going to start them much later and prune heavily for a "bush" instead of huge, tall ladies.

No i am big ass dude 6'5 and 250, not a lot of people fuck with me and i always have my pit bull with me. The dog is nice but its scare factor maybe.

I will take ass beating before i deal with the texas justice system for shooting somebody.

But shooting a couple shots in the air is usually good enough to scare the youngsters away.

From my understanding the snitches don't ever really get paid at least where I live. I've tried to snitch on enemies in the past, people who stole from me. And cops didnt give a flying fuck. Lol..
