Is it impossible to install these little pcj drippers without them leaking? I've tried a few different punches, different sized tubes and even sealing with silicon but i get some leakage every time.

I don't use self made drippers but I'm sure I could help
-are you using the proper installation tool to install them?
-how used is that tool? Could it be dull?
-are they pushed in all the way?
-what psi are you running the drip lines?
-are you using tubing the manufacturer recommends?

Have you designed a system per manufacturers data sheets?

To be fair, I'm not using the official netafim tool if they have one, i've tried 2 types of punch I could find, the size seems ok, a hole is a hole, its very tight when I insert them after and I do my best to push them in as far as they go, then pull back a little so the barb is backed up to close the seal... I can't see what else can be done.

that's strange, i have 20 of them on my main line and never had a leak. I used the punch they came with on 1/2" main line poly tube.

What size distribution tubing are you using?

I'm using the woodpecker junior drippers and their output barb is 1/8" not the more common 1/4". I initially had dripping because I was using distribution tubing that was too large

My mainline is 1/2". My jr drippers are attached directly to that, and then I think it's 3mm micro tubing from the drippers to the rings. It's really snug trying to get the micro tubing on, a pain in the ass really, but it stays put and doesn't leak.
