Important Information About Ambien

Do not take Ambien if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.
Do not drive or engage in hazardous activities that require mental alertness or coordination after taking Ambien until you feel fully awake.
After you stop taking Ambien, you may experience lightheadedness, trouble sleeping, nausea, and nervousness for 1 to 2 days.
When sleep medicines are used every night for more than a few weeks, they may lose their effectiveness or cause dependence.
Call your doctor if your insomnia worsens or does not improve within 7 to 10 days of beginning treatment. This may mean that there is another condition causing your sleeping problems.
Tell your doctor if you experience abnormal thinking, mood problems, behavior changes, anxiety, or memory loss while taking this medication.

Yea, I recommend avoiding ambien at all costs. Last fall, I was having a horrible bout of insomnia, where the only times I got sleep were when I drank myself to sleep. Herbs weren't even helping. Doc prescribed Ambien, and instead of putting me to sleep, it kept me awake and woke me up like doing coke, as well as some very bizarre peripheral vision hallucinations.
