We have a new president now. Bush will be out of office in two months. How long are you lefties going to bitch and moan and whine about Bush?

Vi
Oh, come on, Vi, people are still crackin' on Nixon for Chrissakes! Bush is gonna be fertile fodder for decades to come. :-P

Yeah, but the least they could do in their trashing of Nixon and Bush, would be to include Johnson and Carter in the trashing.

Whats wrong with Carter? He was for blow or at least his advisers were!:-P
Two hours of waiting in line every other day for gas is what's wrong with Carter.

The Great Society, the expansion of the Welfare State, and the escalation of the Vietnam War is what's wrong with Johnson.

Wage and Price controls is what's wrong with Nixon.

A liberal big spender in Republican clothing is what's wrong with Bush. Ditto for McCain.

heh.... it's like beating a dead horse, but I can't help coming back to this thread over and over again..

Why can't we whine about Bush any more Vi? The mofo's still in office, and still's got shit for brains, and I've exhausted all the hatred I had to spit about McCain and Palin, and can't think of anyone else to whine about...so the man sounds like fair game to me..!

Sure he's just a puppet, but it's still gratifying to isolate and point out every tiny one of his flaws, cause there's just such a fine variety of them. What's so bad about that?? Ain't really hurting anyone, just reiterating what 30 some-odd books have already made entirely clear.....

OK, I hear you. But are you sure that all of this rabid vitriol isn't because of dissatisfaction with the man in the mirror? Just asking ...

You mean Brutal, with his lion? Yea, his transparent greed is worthless, and makes me livid, but there's no sense in me trying to continue bickering over a subject that we'll just never agree on. Hopeless.

My own reflection? No, no dissatisfaction, sorry to disappoint fella. Your cheapshot at my own pride just isn't going to connect, and might I add, childish play, sir. :|

I think my whining is well justified, thanks.

If you talk to the right people, you'll get a good Harding bashing. Them're gettin' few and far between, though.

A.Johnson may have contributed to Kennedy's death. Prolonged the Viet Nam war for years, yeah, I don't like Johnson.
B. Carter builds homes for homeless people. Whats wrong with that?

Because they don't deserve it!, it's like saying yeah it's ok your a lazy POS, enjoy the benefit of others hard work. There may only be at most a 3rd of all the people that get a house really deserve it.

I saw a girl today begging for money at a light, she had a sing that said "In need of an Angle.... 420", and I thought to myself wow, I've been investing working hard for myself when I could have'd bummed of other peoples wealth. Everyone wants someone else to fix everything for them because their to stupid to do it themselves.

the thing that people fail to realize is, it could happen to anyone of us, at anytime. you may work hard for what you have, but by no fault of your own, it can be gone tomorrow.
I have a friend that was in a car accident and a year later when he got out of the hospital, he had no job. he owed the hospital $75,000, even though he had insurance. he lost everything. could not get a job, did not qualify for disability...he was screwed.
in a country as rich as the US, why can't we help people? we can bail out these rich bastards. compassion may be the only thing that makes us different from other countries.

See your friend may fall into the 3rd category, and was the accident hes fault!?

And what you fail to realize is that we didn't bail out rich bastards, we bailed out people playing the game of investing and the game shat on them!, and if we hadn't then we would be in yet another great depression..... So yeah I can't figure out why they bailed out those "Rich Bastard" either!:dunce:

From the sounds of it, bongspit's friend didn't get a house. These scenarios are actually pretty common, where people wind up screwed because they were unlucky. If that happened to me, I have an extended family that would help me out, but not everyone has that.

In order to justify their greed, some people assume that everyone getting some sort of government assistance is a lazy bum, but really, I doubt the lazy bums make up even half that number. And welfare reforms over the last few decades have put a damper on most of the abuse.

Most of the bum in my town, where kicked out of the state hospital, and suffer from mental illness; But once again why should we help those that want to be helped as long someone else does it for them.
