Update:

Called the il dept of public health. They said they're "linking my drivers license to my card" but i was approved.

Here's the issue and PLEASE lmk if you can relate: my drivers license address doesnt match my current address. I was planning on getting it updated when it expires in a month. I believe this is why they requested additional documents last week.

So Ive updated the license address on the sos website. My only worry is that they'll see the two don't match and I'll get held up again.

Has any card holder applied with a different address on their license than their current? And if so, did you have to jump through any additional hoops after sending additional documents proving the new address?

Another update:

I called them again to confirm whether or not the drivers license address needs to match the current address to be approved. And the nice lady said they don't need to be. Just expect to have to confirm with extra docs like i had to. So now that i know I'm officially approved, as soon as the license and card are "linked" they'll send for printing. Then i should expect the card in the mail. She said about 2 weeks.

I did speak with my friend who works at a dispensary and he did say the addresses should match on drivers license and card when you visit. Therefore, I'll need to update the drivers license at a facility before buying. Oh well! Small price to pay.

They told me that the Drs. Paperwork was received on 12-3 but they said the outreach program didn't send my application until the 29th of DECEMBER! A month after I did it and paid them ... So He told me I'm looking at 4 to 8 more weeks... How depressimg... BE WEARY OF THE OUTREACH CENTERS I think it's best if you send your paperwork yourself... Lesson learned...

Looks like they had my money 1/23
called last week only was told I am in system call in 4-6 weeks so tired of being in pain 24/7

Sorry for being late to the party but how did you guys go about the whole process? I saw some people went through outreach and some did it themselves...I dont even know where to start or how to get a DR for this situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Here's my timeline:
12/2 App submitted through The Healing Clinic & payment made by credit card
2/2 emailed IDPH got a robo response saying my app was received
2/21 called IDPH and was told my App was approved yesterday, card sent to printing this morning and it will be mailed tomorrow and should receive card within 10 days.

I will update when I get the card in hand!

I hope this can help

You need to start with a Dr. and a legit diagnosis. My regular Dr (for years) always talked about it but finally got board this December, knowing that I have been treating myself with it for years... at the beginning of December he submitted the paperwork, then I submitted mine... and we wait... it's that simple. The wait has been horrible though, so start as soon as you can.

So it sounds like they’ve started on the December apps, woohoo! This wait has been mind numbing. Just want to medicate legally. Hopefully they figure this out for future applicants so it doesn’t take so long.

congrats and thanks for the update! do you know when the application was (for instance: per your 2/2 robo email) officially received?

When I got fingerprinted they said last year wait was 30 days and now it is on average 90 it is just getting worse not better

If you go to a Dispensary near you on there website should be an section on help finding a Doctor that is how I found mine.
