there tryna say we cant grow our own meds.... there is gonna be one disp for every district in the state so no more then 60.... who is gonna grow the meds for the people? is there gonna be like a vote for who gets to grow it? is it gonna be some bitch with a clean record and a botanist degree? or big pharma? or will Illinois import meds from lets say cali? Colorado? either way its just a 4 year pilot and a huge door has opend.. people will be able to grow there own meds after overpriced garbage is offerd at the disp. and a few lawsuits are filled {and will be won} then there gonna set strict regs. on how much u can grow .... im sure there will be a ban on outdoor growing too similer to what Michigan had going.. but prolly require sec. cameras also for everything like Colorado does.. blah blah blah... let me my meds w/o worry of imprisonment for cultivating and smoking a plant that does nno harm.. offers plenty of good, and drasticly improved my quality of life....Since it isn't stated in the actual bill, I am now assuming big pharmawill be running these cultivation centers.

Supposedly there are to be up to 22 "cultivation centers", one in each state police district. Only the bill doesn't even say who is eligible to run these centers, just the usual no felony conviction exclusions etc...you should submit your application to the IL Dep't of Agriculture.

You can't grow your own strains for specific ailments!!! That is cruel!! Goverment mindset as well as others are stuck in the Nixon reefer madness mind wash era. These people need to watch the union and realise we where lied too. For what?? The same thing that goes on today to insure these political pigs keep their seat.
I think they don't want patients growing their own for that tax money. Greedy fucks these patients have enough bills and you want them to pay taxes on it and get over charged at a dispensaries. Just pure greed That bill still doesn't provided justice at all.

I think Illinois should follow Co or Wa legalization policy. I'm happy as it passed but sad because you can read between the lines of the bill It Says " Fellow citizens whom elected us. We choose to tax you some more."
I believe there should just be a fee to be licensed and have annual a renewal fee. Also surplus funds from this should only go to schools, firefighters, paramedics and nonprofit groups that benefit the community. As well go to infrastructure for examples road repair and highway construction.

Illinois is broke, but there are also plenty of lazy mofos that won't grow themselves and just buy from a dispensary that they should be able to tax the hell out of it just like everything else and some politicians will get rich and the IL debt will continue to rise.

dude, anyone who has no record plus botany as a degree is more qualified and able to grow to the best performance than allot of people. botany is the direct link to our plants. you only get better when you get that degree. DONT need one, but it helps. make friends with a botanist and watch your bud grow BIG!

exactly. I am looking into taking some horticulture classes at the local college to enhance my skills, they are cheap and can only help and not hurt I am sure.
