Fuck if Obama can get a nobel peace prize for being the first black pres, why can't we throw money and medels at who ever solves this debaucle?
Nuclear Leaks and Response Tested Obama in Senate

The history of the bill shows Mr. Obama navigating a home-state controversy that pitted two important constituencies against each other and tested his skills as a legislative infighter. On one side were neighbors of several nuclear plants upset that low-level radioactive leaks had gone unreported for years; on the other was Exelon, the country’s largest nuclear plant operator and one of Mr. Obama’s largest sources of campaign money.

Since 2003, executives and employees of Exelon, which is based in Illinois, have contributed at least $227,000 to Mr. Obama’s campaigns for the United States Senate and for president. Two top Exelon officials, Frank M. Clark, executive vice president, and John W. Rogers Jr., a director, are among his largest fund-raisers.

Another Obama donor, John W. Rowe, chairman of Exelon, is also chairman of the Nuclear Energy Institute, the nuclear power industry’s lobbying group, based in Washington. Exelon’s support for Mr. Obama far exceeds its support for any other presidential candidate.

In addition, Mr. Obama’s chief political strategist, David Axelrod, has worked as a consultant to Exelon. A spokeswoman for Exelon said Mr. Axelrod’s company had helped an Exelon subsidiary, Commonwealth Edison, with communications strategy periodically since 2002, but had no involvement in the leak controversy or other nuclear issues.

Makes you mad to think about it. I mean obviously the heads of government don't give a fuck if we are endangering lives and land.

It's all about campaign money.

Apart from that it's a failing industry that is not seeing an upturn in profit or interest... It would seem at this point in time it's surviving on government subsidy...

If safety concerns aren't enough, it should be concerning to many Americans to know how much is flushed down a black hole, especially considering the current period of sequestration.

Is Nuclear Power Viable?

But to Amory Lovins — a veteran energy expert and chairman of the Rocky Mountain Institute — there's a much better green reason to be against nuclear power: economics. Lovins, an environmentalist who is unusually comfortable with numbers, argues in a report released last week that a massive new push for nuclear power doesn't make dollars or cents. In his study, titled "The Nuclear Illusion," he points out that while the red-hot renewable industry — including wind and solar — last year attracted $71 billion in private investment, the nuclear industry attracted nothing. "Wall Street has spoken — nuclear power isn't worth it," he says.

More nuclear subsidies, which many on Capitol Hill are pushing for, won't do the trick either. Lovins notes that the U.S. nuclear industry has received $100 billion in government subsidies over the past half-century, and that federal subsidies now worth up to $13 billion a plant — roughly how much it now costs to build one — still haven't encouraged private industry to back the atomic revival. At the same time, the price of building a plant — all that concrete and steel — has risen dramatically in recent years, while the nuclear workforce has aged and shrunk.

I was just thinking, one of the best ways to mess with Sunni Jihad is to continue spray DU on their lands. Yes?

The gift that keeps on giving? Why say a War Cult like the USA contains one bit of heart, much less a single smidgen of soul?

It is very difficult, anyone that tries to show the head clearly is killed. But, it is a big Salmon. These are the only 2 known photos. You can barely see the 3rd eye as that sort of forward bump. See it?

But, both these guys...well. Car accident for the younger I heard and a suspicious heart attack for the other. I include a picture of a normal fish to compare. (damn, now my tongue is stuck to my cheek) :)

I guess your showing pictures of 3 eyed salmon, is better than showing pictures of your 1 eyed trouser trout.

They undergo a metamorphosis. The open ocean salmon don't look horrendous, like this.

Has anyone seen any reports of foreign aid to help the efforts? Or a brainstorm group?

My mom seems to think the US has helped japan. At least in the beginning.

Iraq got a decent hit of DU, employed as a area denial weapon, but that is now a Shia republic... like WTF?
