why are only major western religions/denominations (save hinduism) represented here? no taoists? no buddhists? no zen? no confucians? what about Reggae? Santo Daime? Voodoo? Santería? Umbanda? Yaqui? Not to mention African and Australian roots religions? Or do these all fall in the wonderfully generic, and eminently Lacanian category "other?"

I think it says more about religion then anything else, the list of different ideals, some of those share the same text just a change in it's interpretation and yet all claim to be "the" truth.

Labels are for clear poisonous liquids not humans describing each other.

I would consider Myself an Agnostic (Theist) because Im not sure if God exists or not, but I wish God existed. This, to Me, seems like the only logical, rational, and reasonable position to hold.

(P.S. I used to be a Christian for most of My Life until 2008, when I saw the movie called Zeitgeist. Before 2008, I was a Christian that didnt practice My "religion", for example, I never really went to church or read the Bible or any of that.)

How can Jesus not believe in god? Sheesh. Now I know the logic behind that word. Sheep-Shhh. You think too much and need to learn to listen. You don't have to read a book to know there's a god. What you see is what you get.

Which god do you wish existed?

The english word "god" is pretty ridiculous.

Im not exactly Jesus, but there are MANY paralells between Me and Jesus. If anyone is "Jesus" its Me, but My real Name is George Manuel Oliveira. I used to think I was Jesus, when I first had My divine effulgence, revelation, or apotheisis about Myself. You are one of many people (on RIU) to call Me "Jesus", its an honest mistake to make. I also used to "fully" believe in God until I started talking to all the Atheists on RIU, that started making Me skeptical about God. I would love to believe in God, but as the Atheists posit, "there is no emperical evidence for God".

I want to believe in the Truth, whatever that might be, but no one knows all the Truth and no one is perfect. A lot of people believe THEY KNOW the Truth, but why are there so many different beliefs? Whos right and whos wrong? I claim Agnostic- personally, I dont know whos right or wrong, but I do have My opinions.

Sheesh. Now I know the logic behind that word. Sheep-Shhh. You think too much and need to learn to listen. You don't have to read a book to know there's a god. What you see is what you get.
If anything, I lean more towards being an Agnostic THEIST, which means I believe in the POSSIBILITY of God, but Im simply skeptical because of lack of evidence, besides creation.

I simply dont know enough about God to ascertain if He exists or not. I believe God created the Big Bang or the beginning of the universe, but what has He been doing and where is He now?

But there is plenty of evidence for Me, and there is plenty of proof that I exist; and its a fact that I have made the claims that I have postulated. To be candid, I believe in Myself: and I would recommend for everyone to believe in their Self too. You can be your OWN god, because we are all gods anyways; at least thats what Jesus said in the Bible.

I know for a fact that there are higher power(s) then Me, call it God or something else, Im not the Highest Power. Im just a Person with a Christ complex that wants to create a utopia or paradise for all people. I only know what I know, Im not claiming omnicience, or omnipotence.

Let the evidence guide you, and let your conscience be your god.

Actually now that Im thinking of it, Im not looking for God, Im looking for an omnibenevolent (god) King.

The only thing I would want from My King is that He would be omnibenevolent and very wise to make good decisions for the people. He wouldnt have to be omnicient because I dont want anyone knowing all My business. He wouldnt have to be omnipotent, he would just need enough power to rule the world. If He was omnipotent, that would mean we would all be robot slaves. I wouldnt want Him to be omnipresent because that would mean He would live in us and all around us, I need My personal space and privacy.

As long as He wasnt racist and segragated people, that wouldnt be godly to Me. He would need to have everyones best interests at heart, and care about the poor and middle class too.

He would need to be very wise and surround Himself with benevolent and intelligent people to help Him make good decisions. I would want Him to be the omnibenevolent godly Monarch King.

And if He implemented a one world online government so the people could help Him make decisions too. He would have to listen to His people too.

If He could make everyone much richer, that would be a great thing. He would have to be a planet builder too, to terraform this world and the ones we are going to colonize.

I wouldnt expect perfection, but the best intentions.

EDIT- Im looking for someone LIKE Jesus,,, heck, if Jesus were real, I would want Him to be King of the world.

I am Christ, you are Christ, we are the flesh and flesh we are one. Everybody is on there own journey. You don't inquire about what they do in their daily prívate lives so why worry about their beliefs that they can only perceive?

The Zionist sure are the biggest conspiracy theorist if god truly doesn't exist. They would be your rulers, the hand that feeds the dog. Bite at your own risk.
