A spare would be a great idea. Keep them in rotation to prolong life before total failure. Since they are so cheap than one should be able to have a spare right? Just like tools purchased from harbour frieght. They are called throw aways. They are so cheap, just buy several and when they break just toss them. I highly doubt that Mars Hydro would not guarantee their warranty, Im sure most of the people that had bad experiences would rather just bitch, complain and talk shit rather than deal with warranties.
What is it paying for the shipping on a product that's under warranty. $50 it would cost each to for repair. Mars got boo'd off this forum because of their lies.

Hi everyone

going to build my own LED fixture

im in a 2' x 2' space, gonna go with the Cree CXB3070, plan to drive them at around 1A from a Mean Well with dimming option

just wondering how many COBs to go with? 4, 6 or 8 ? I want to make sure that all areas of the tent are getting proper light and that light will penetrate down through the canopy

thanks for any advice :)

4 minimum should do it. could add more if you plan on dimming a bit to fine tune to growing conditions.

yeah, thats what i was thinking with the dimmer, i could go with more COBs but if it turned out that there was simply too much light then i could dim them down a bit
for as if i haven't enough light at the start then no way to increase light without buying some extra COBs

thanks!

Had my 12 diodes melt on my 900w Mars 2 after 11 months of solely 12/12. They'll fix it but I have to cover shipping on that big ass panel :(

Best LED Light for Small Tent Setup (36in x 36in x 64in - DarkStreet II)
Hey all,
I've been doing research on which full spectrum LED light to go with. Does anybody have any first hand knowledge they would be willing to share and explain please ? I'm only looking to grow 1-4 plants tops, for personal use I've already decided to use LEDs, so no use trying to dissuade me. Please help, any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers
