was that dried and trimmed or wet. many people have had good results with inexpensive lights from topled (mars hydro,marsII and reflector series) but that kind of results seem incredible for even HPS

I'm sure they'll turn out well. I grow an autoflower under a chinese (Blackstar) 135w (85w actual) UFO in a 2x2x4' tall space. I got over 1g/w the last couple grows. It was underpowered for that space. I added four Cree "lightbulbs" from Home Depot to bring me to about 31w/sq ft. I'm seeing a difference in bud density now. I'm hoping for about 140g this time.

Hello peeps im hoping to pick you guys brains here. I have been reading up on the Cree 3070 series and have sort of decided on getting the following
CXA3070-0000-000N00Z450F-ND
I understand these are pretty decent bins. Now I have a few questions.
The Mean Well LPC-60 AC Constant Current LED Driver (LPC-60-1050 / LPC-60-1400) IP67 costs around £30/$50 is this the cheapest option that I could get away with ?
Can the above driver feed 2 of the cree's at the same time ?
My thinking is make up 2 of these lights (With either 1 or 2 drivers) as a sort of experiment if you like.
My grow space is 600mm X 600mm x 2200mm (H) - would 2 lights be enough to cover this space and will height be an issue ?

Quite a few others have used these drivers too.
This is why I am posting here lol as I can't get my head round what driver is acceptable. BTW I am in UK where we are approx 250v...not that that makes much difference. The big difference is in uk they are costing 2.5x as much as the link you posted.....I wish I could get them for that price.
Like I say I am a newbie at this so if you or anyone else could steer me in the right direction for a more cost efficient and capable driver then I would be most grateful.

Thanks for that I will have a look at the uk ebay and see if I can find any of these. BTW I just checked up on the meanwell one from above - It is min 9v forward voltage upto max 40v so that may explain the disparity.
If it is adjustable that would be the reason for the high(er) price

those are listed at 9-48 at 1.05 amps that would only drive a single CXA3070 you may also want to consider adding some 430-440 nm and perhaps 660nm leds to that to get a fuller spectrum. on some strains stretch can become a problem with just warm white leds

First I want to say thank you, the DIY threads on the 3070 saved me from buying a cheap Mars panel! But reading for days I am lost and on information overload and needing help. So I have an order in for 6 3000k ab 3070's and 2 5000k ab 3070's. This is a cabinet grow with 6.25 sq.ft. for flower and 4 sq.ft. for veg about 6' in height. Is this too much or not enough? Recommendations on what mA to run these at with higher consideration given to efficiency and the recommended driver. I have looked at so many drivers my head is spinning.

the attached chart may help you find the balance between efficiency and cost you are looking for looks like 1050 ma will give you enough light with 8 diodes and pretty good efficiency

So if my math is correct and I am reading the chart right the yearly cost difference to run 24 hours per day at 700 ma vs 1400 ma is only $2.76 assuming 0.15 cents per kilowatt hour. Am I reading this correctly?

it would be closer to $27.00 per year per diode running 24/7 or about $2.25 per month but the cost of the bud you lose if you don't have enough light would be lot higher plant need a dark period to complete many chemical processes (krebs cycle) including sugar and citric acid production (needed to liberate nutrients and minerals from soil) so why would you run a 24 hour cycle?
