I have no growing experience at all yet and can't recommend any of the products on the market from personal experience, but I saw your post and I was speaking to someone from Advanced LED on the phone today, where their products do incorporate Cree diodes: http://advancedledlights.com/3w-led-grow-lights/new-diamond-series-xml-10w-cree-xml/Like I say, I can't personally recommend anything, but I think this is an example of what you are talking about. Guy I spoke to was very helpful and generous with his time considering I'm not even ready to buy yet. I'm looking around for something good, but a lot less expensive than the Apache 600, which is way out of my price range. So far in my searches, I think the Advanced LED and Budmaster II products jump out at me, simply because they use Cree/Osram diodes. Maybe that makes me a brand whore. So be it!:D

...I was interested in the blm spider 600 too...don't see too much aboot them except they may not me too good for flowering canibus from one grower...

....other forums touted the spectrum king as the "best" and a lot of big medical grow operations are supposed to be switching to them...

...is this an area 51 site..?
Lot of Area 51 growers here, as well as BlackStar users. Go with the crowd and buy a few Spec Kings. Then tell us how they fare by posting a review and journal of them :-P

There are pages of A51 and Blackstar (meh) grows here. That crowd.

Understand that A 51 pretty much had the mid price market to itself here fr ~ 2 years,

and frankly 99.9% of the low end market is a total waste of one's $$$$.

I believe Amare Tech Solar Spec is going to be serious competition

Us seasoned led growers are just sick of repeating ourselves. We have literally posted the same thing. Telling people what led lights are best over a 1000 times each. its very simple if you read the the threads and notr start at the end.

Area 51, apache tech, hans (bonsaihero), onyx, and diy cree or vero cobs, cree globes from home deps, inda gro and Philips cmh

vipar is a decent chinese led. Still under performs compared to ^^^

The amare is yet to be tested. The bml has heat issues and doesn't perform as advertised. Illumitex just doesn't perform well at all. All the china direct cheap panels are better suited as a door stop ( cidly, lg, lush etc,,). Lumigrow is overpriced for a very small foot print. Clw is still notr up to par with the other quality lights and very over priced. i grow is rebranded crap from full spectrum solutions..

The solution to that is a wiki where common (and commonly accepted) information can be distilled into a structured resource, not a 198-page conversation spanning 3 years. :)

This site's blog (grow journal, but not limited to that topic) would let you distill your thoughts once, revise over time, and refer to it whenever you had that "not again..." feeling.

go ahead and make that page. I'm not going to do it. If people are too lazy to do their own research. They shouldn't be growing.

...wtf do you think I am doing now...???...

...how many of those companies are selling lights by the hundreds to professional grow operations...???...

...as I said before, it occurred to me that the people buying them won't be posting their grows on canibus forums...

...I have done enough research to see this place is something of a fan boy clubhouse...

I consider this more of a DIY Community and a wealth of information if you want to look for it, but yes there are a lot of A51 users here. That is because they have been proven over and over again, read through some of the journals and you will see why there are so many "fan boys" as you call them. Or you can just always take that attitude back to 420********.com :finger:
