I dont expect to be pulling off a pound per plant but i really just needed to upgrade, cfls ,bagseeds and a micro box leaving me with around 10 whopping grams of dried bud just is a joke.so hopefully with the apollo, scrog and good fem seeds will get me a better run.3rd grow hopfully will turn out better since the first 2 sucked, this time im taking my time to put together a decent grow.thanks again for all the info from everyone.

I'd hope you'd get at least an ounce with even the lowest of chinese exported LED units but it comes down to more than just lights to ensure a productive harvest when growing MJ... :weed:

Im sure it will suck,if so ill be selling off my stuff and ill be done for good, dont want to spend a ton on something that i could easily have taken by cops.i can always just hook up the old cfls.i really wanted to go with hps/mh but heat is way too big of an issue for someone like me who just does this as a parttime hobby.but well see how it goes

Start a grow journal in this forum *now* while you're preparing to grow with the LEDs. I've got a feeling the lighting isn't the problem. With all the CFLs you had you should have gotten considerably more than 10. I would get the community involved in everything from whether you use tap water, adequacy of ventilation, choice of nutes, medium, etc.

In that space, you should be able to get at least 40g, as much as 100g. I just did 105g with an 85w (actual) Blackstar UFO in a 2x2x4' tall tent. (Your space is 20% smaller horizontally, 25% shorter. So, I can see you having less yield, but still much more than 10g even with CFL.).

...this place is a refreshing change from 420magazine.com...

...did you know "Rollitup.com" is censored over there...!?!...

...anyways, I am / was trying to decide between the Super Grow Spectrum King 450 and the Inda Gro 420 Induction lights...

...I don't see much aboot the Spectrum King 450 here but they are highly touted elsewhere....supposedly large medical growers are switching to them from HID...

...but now I have seen these BLM spider 600's...fuk...

...they are confusing me with two spectrums there....I would guess the grow spectrum is the one I'd want...???...why would we need a $1000 monster light to start plants anyway...???...

...and now we see the Lumigrow 650 pro...what next...?!?...

...what I am trying to to is use as much of a 4×8 scrog tent as I can for aboot $ 2500...

If your looking for commercial LED lights, check out the forums here under indoor growing/LED and choose one of the Area-51 forums. They will give you the answers your are searching for.

The super grow spectrum king 450 looks and sounds like garbage and I have no knowledge of induction lighting other than Nicola Tesla invented it. The BLM Spider 600 looks badass and looks promising.

You could just buy like 10x BlackStars... lol

I would recommend building your own lights and saving hundreds of dollars. That's what I'm doing from now on :bigjoint:

...I don't see where the spectrum king looks or sounds like "garbage"...disparaging comments like that indicate ignorance, bro...imho...

...the rest of your post could be considered helpful...although "bad assed" and "promising" are not especially discriptive or informing, eh...although I agree completely...

...the area 51's are not appealing to me as they employ fans as an interigal part of their cooling system...other than that they are on the same page as me in regards to spectrum...

...methinks building my own would be a Bad Idea in my case... (grin )

It was based off an opinion, and ignorance occasionally follows opinions. I know nothing of the model and it appears to be a chinese ripoff, especially with such a crummy model name IMO.

I do know that if I'm going to spend top dollar for an LED unit, I'm gonna follow the crowds. Otherwise I'm gonna man up, buy the all the individual parts needed to construct such a light and try doing it myself, with the risk of frying myself to death :fire:

....dood...it is one of the few lights made in USA and sold by the manufacturer...

...it is not a rebranded Chinese unit that has passed through middle men...

...it uses "white" LEDs that cover the full range the spectrum covered...

...the only fly in the ointment would be lack of UVB...but as UVB LEDs are not durable it seems wise to supplement that frequency...

...the Inda Gro 420 Induction lights put out UVB but are supplimented by red and far red LEDS to promote flowering...

...I did notice that the "white" Area 51's be out of stock...

A51 has higher intensity, true coverage, and better diode than the sk450. Those SK's and littler lights have been around for a while, and with very limited success...happy tall trees on instagram is the only person I have seen do well with a supergrowled. As where a51 has been using a good design and spectrum(all aboard the RW train) that has been well proven over the years. Examples of grows up the ying yang here on RIU.

The sk450 hits 1000µmols@12"...while the a51 can pretty much do that from 24", and gains coverage by being able to hang that high still with good intensity.

Indagro's are good. The best inductions by far. A very versatile light too...pontoon on or off. Check out this thread https://www.rollitup.org/t/hyroots-garden.841336/ for good indagro results.
I personally would rock 3 IG420 in a 4x8...only the middle one needs the pontoon or no pontoons at all is fine till the budget increases a tad, or get a run finished then upgrade.

The thing about lights is that there is simple and easy way to compare any indoor light...if the manufactures are willing to supply the right info...PAR FOOTPRINTS and the recommended hanging height. Other than that you really don't need to know much more. Photons delivered is the most directly correlating metric for growth...everything else is secondary. If a company can't supply you with that chart/numbers...then move on to a real company that will. Because if they don't have it then they know nothing about plant growth and are only trying to rip you off by giving out of context and useless information.

...I was interested in the blm spider 600 too...don't see too much aboot them except they may not me too good for flowering canibus from one grower...

....other forums touted the spectrum king as the "best" and a lot of big medical grow operations are supposed to be switching to them...

...is this an area 51 site..?
