Usually when it shows up on leaves there is no mistaking it. It's almost got a little grit to it. One thing I have observed, PM usually infects the plant from the bottom up. So it will show up on bottom leaves and then move up slowly until it hits the top of the colas.

Many a grower has had to cut early to avoid losing the whole plant. If you cut early use it to make hash.

If you catch it early you can also can dilute some peroxide with water and use a hand sprayer to mist your plants. It will help slow the spread. Also when you do chop that wash the buds in a 5 gallon bucket of water with a cup or peroxide. It will remove some PM and it will float on the water like oil.
