If someone asks for a recommendation and our site fits the bill, is it cool to mention it?

I've deliberately avoided mentioning the site because I don't want to be seen as just here for self-promotion but at the same time, I want to help when someone needs it?

thats where it gets tricky cause technically since we are aware youre a business, youre technically advertising at that point.
its a big different when members recommend businesses because they are just members.

but youve already address yourself as being apart of a seed bank business.

Makes sense.

I just wanted to be open about it all and didn't want to sneak anything in.

Thanks

At the end of the day, RIU is a free forum. If you can't afford their add costs. Maybe you could email a deal where you be more vocal about your service and send them a stipend from every sells lead that came from the RIU. They got bills to pay I am sure. Best of luck.

Dude, relax!

If we want to advertise, we'll advertise. If I was trying to sneak in a free commercial, I wouldn't have stated everywhere that I work for a seed retailer.

If someone asks where they can get X from because they can't find it, and we have it, I wanted to know whether it would be cool to say, "yes we have it at X" or "pm me for details" but I had that question answered already. No need for further clarification - I was just respecting the rules.

I am relaxed. I was just trying to insert some business common sense. Nevermind. I'm no longer interested in what you do!

Fair point. It's just " If you can't afford their add costs." came across a little insulting, but I need to chill too.

Apologies - start again?
