Right! I'll get on it asapyour next plot is gonna be the lighting they need, and from the development you have, they are gonna need a lot.

Where does the guy live? What way does the window face?I've been watching a guy on YouTube who grows autos without lighting, just water and a windowsill... and average Dutch natural light and they turned out fine so I was just following those rules dude
From what I can tell he's in a tall apartment block in Amsterdam in a bay window... bigger than mine is. However his seemed about a weeks bigger growth than mine are at this day age, still not quite near the picture you posted dude. I'll be the seems of things have to invest in some lightingWhere does the guy live? What way does the window face?
Generally it won't work. If it is a window that gets direct sunlight most of the day it will. That means actually being able to see the sun.
By the age of them yours are not getting enough light. At the age they are they should look like this.

It wouldn't hurt. The more light the better. From what I can tell he's in a tall apartment block in Amsterdam in a bay window... bigger than mine is. yeah that's a good number to go by, I've started seedling at 46watts using cfls, that's basically 2 bulbs, had it vegging for a long time, then I added lighting, I just went with my budget would let me basically...lolIt wouldn't hurt. The more light the better.
Try for a minimum of 100 actual watts of compact florescent.
Normally cfl come in 23 actual watt for 100 watt equivalent. There are bigger 40 all the way up to 250 actual watt cfl.yeah that's a good number to go by, I've started seedling at 46watts using cfls, that's basically 2 bulbs, had it vegging for a long time, then I added lighting, I just went with my budget would let me basically...lol

The 23 watt ones are actually more effecient than the larger ones. I have a couple 65 watters laying around. They were 12 bucks a piece at the hardware store.
What ever works. Its just a good rule of thumb for 100-150 actual watts for the first plant and 50-75 actual for each plant after that.
Lol. Reminds me. Guy on here one time thought the equivalent watts were what to go by. Swore up and down that 400 equivalent watts was the same as a 400 hps.
I started letting them sprout under all 432 watts of my t5. They handle it just fine. They sprout in the sun. They can handle strong light. The thing that kills them is heat from the light being too close.yeah I had a person do that to me on another roll just like you, Swore the same thing, up and down, left and right, till we showed him the box...never saw the guy again...lol
I have a simple rule of thumb, seedling get 2 (23watt bulbs) as they grow and get there first leaves sets, when the second left set comes in then add 2 more, then let it vegg, keeps it simple, when the plant gets larger and larger add a couple of more, now your up to 6 total, when you flip the switch to flowering then add 2 (14watt bulbs) and let it finish. That's how I did mind that I'm about to finish...and she's a beaut I must say...this way ate least for me keeps for lighting and electrical foot print down to a minimum
Led bulbs work and Wal-Mart now carries their own brand in 2700 and 5000k.You could always try LED bulb and a table lamp. My plants are going very well since I switched from CFL. The cost is only pennies a month for hydro. Try to get one that is "cool light" which has a color temperature of 5000-6000K. This is in the blue range of light and will mimic daylight very well, IMHO. Check out my grow thread to see for yourself. It is called "the cheapest grow ever".
oh wow, didn't know you could do that to them, how do you remove the domes off them, just curious?Led bulbs work and Wal-Mart now carries their own brand in 2700 and 5000k.
Remove the dome for directional light. The dome disperses the light.

Carefully. Keep running a blade around the seam. Be very careful. Work it slowly. It will looses then you can try them off.oh wow, didn't know you could do that to them, how do you remove the domes off them, just curious?
I'm gonna have to try that this weekend, thanks for the heads upCarefully. Keep running a blade around the seam. Be very careful. Work it slowly. It will looses then you can try them off.
Be very careful. I used a knife. You can cut a finger off or something. I.just kept running it around the seam and when I got it cracked open a little I switched to a butter knife and just kept going around it prying on it until they popped off.I'm gonna have to try that this weekend, thanks for the heads up
So I'm guessing these are the none dimmable versions that are out?Be very careful. I used a knife. You can cut a finger off or something. Just be careful.
I guess. Its Wal-Mart brand and they are pretty cheap. The 9 watt ones are less than 6 bucks for 4 of them.So I'm guessing these are the none dimmable versions that are out?
I'm looking at walmart, they have them too, and in there brand as well, slightly cheaperI have not looked at Walmart, but Home Depot has dimmable ones, plenty of variety as well.
