I would of it was just a good thread title cause im wondering samething.
Well, the OP apparently ended up in Oakland (oregon) so that pretty much answers your question on if they decided to move to KF or not (they never updated it, so it's a fair question honestly, and it's not like this sub forum is grand central station or anything...)

yah well Oregon ain't allowing new medical growers anymore, that's some bullshit. But I could grow my 4 rec. Why can't I just be a resident and grow? 2 years is stupid. I'll be going to cali anyway. Better weather. Might do motorcycle delivery or some mmj job maybe. Mostly, so I can grow in peace. For the most part.

If memory serves that was only if you want to grow for someone else, patients who grow for themselves aren't required to be residents for any amount of time. Here's the page with all of the grower requirements (residency requirements were dropped including for recreational producers as they're not listed anymore here, or on the application, self growers who aren't transfering their product to a facility also don't have to pay a $200 grow site registration fee.)

https://public.health.oregon.gov/DiseasesConditions/ChronicDisease/MedicalMarijuanaProgram/Pages/growers.aspx

Note you DO have to be an oregon resident these days to be a patient, but if you're growing in oregon you're required to transfer your vehicle and drivers license in ~30 days anyways....

damn, that's cool if so. lol. I thought it was the official hb3400 rules. I'll have to go check further or just call them. Ya the resident thing is fine. 2 years ain't cool. Figured it could get dropped sometime. Hope it did.

Well I was looking at the application and saw the 2 year residency requirement though, just last night. I'll call someone or email them.
