If no one was to sign up for Obamacare, it would wither and die on the vine. You say you are scared of getting fined? Just structure your taxes so that you have to pay in just a little each year, they won't be able to fine you then either since the only way they can fine you is by taking it out of your tax return.

You either starve the beast by not playing into its game, or you bleed the beast by taking advantage of every single legal loophole that allows you to get transfer payments.

If I lived in a 20,000 SQ FT mansion, had 3 rolls royces and 10,000 acres of prime farm and pasture land and had $100,000,000 put away in a Trust Fund, but had no actual income. I would legally qualify for full foodstamp aid, and you know what? I would certainly apply for it even though it is not needed, and I would use every penny to buy steak and lobster.

Cuz you know, they removed the asset part of the formula for qualification for foodstamps.

Absolutely not. I have been paying taxes for more than 40 years, its about time some of it came back to me wouldn't you agree? Besides, if it is 100% legal, how can it possibly be immoral?

I have a gold plan that cost 493.00 per month with a 750.00 deductible. My knee surgery is just over 10k and they say I will owe up to 4700.00 total out of pocket. I really thought I had better Ins than that so thanks BarryO.
Would you die if you didn't have the elective knee surgery?
What would private insurance have covered for this elective surgery?

My wife is going in for knee surgery later this month, there is nothing elective about it if you can't walk, work or exercise. Sedentariness can be as life threatening as many diseases.

We have Blue Cross/Blue Shield, about $312/month. Surgery is being performed at one of the best facilities in NC, Duke Hospital, about $12,000 all in. $3,000 deductible with a $2000 health savings account that also goes towards the deductible when it's used. Our total outlay will be around $1900.

Fuck ObamaCare and the SUBSIDEEZ that it propagates. And we all know SUBSIDEEZ are free, appearing out of thin air and never need to be funded by anyone.

what is your current deductible? what is your current total out of pocket? what is your current premium?

i seem to recall your previous policy was $1000/monthly..what was that deductible and TOOP? i also recall that they know you and your wife have existing medical conditions and that policy charged you extra money because of same.

currently, you have a $507 credit monthly on premium x12=$6084

just do the math..i'm gonna go out on a limb and say the ACA policy is still a better deal than what you had previously.

i don't know what state you're in but that's not quite how it's done in florida..in other words, you would NOT qualify.

Hey Chesus..

Hell I don't know? I have never been hurt to where I went to a doctor before. I just thought they would of paid more than they are.

Whats elective knee surgery? I am having surgery because I can't walk or drive a car right now and I am stuck in the house most of the day.
