i need help

Please, I ask no one to make fun of me because this is something I am completely new and lost in. I am 43, I have never smoked or done anything. I have a 7yr old with autism and other issues. After extensive research, I tried a Bhang CBD bar. After 1/3 of 1 stick, approx 10 mg) my daughter spoke to me for the first time.
I am attempting to make CBD OIL. I found a lab who will test it so I can ensure proper levels. Can someone explain the process in very basic, like I'm 5. I can't mess this up. looking for minimal THC, BUT UNDERSTAND the need for it for the cluster effect.
My understanding is to cook it in oil (I wanted to use an olive oil/safflower for the omega 3 which benefits autism)...water bath/boil it to between 175~200 (was going to use a candy thermometer). time is my unknown and now these temps have thrown me off.

Extensive travel and expense has been taken for medical grade, license, travel. Can someone please help

I have limited knowledge in this but I'm giving you a bump to hopefully get the right person for ya.

This is one of the many reasons I try to open people up to the idea of medicinal cannabis. Good luck!

Ps. From my limited understanding cbds are formed from degrading thc tricomes. Letting a plant age to amber tricomes should produce this.

As far as oil I make butter with my scraps. I just put a pot of water and coconut oil (your amount to be chosen) on the stove and boil for a few minutes. I then let it get to a simmer and throw in scraps. I stir the whole time which is anywhere from 20-1hr.. then strain. The remaining liquid is put in a pan in the fridge. The oil and water will separate naturally. The oil is now cannabis infused.

Once again good luck

Thank you...now sillier question, what scraps :)?

My daughter answered a question...she's a mimic, so I always ask her stuff hoping repetition helps..i asked where was her monkey watch...she replied "under the microwave." she was playing on the counterbthere before we left...when we got home, it was right where she said

Scraps such as stems, leaves, "popcorn" bud(small bud with little bag appeal; bag appeal meaning it looks really good so people will buy it), actual bud, trim, anything cannabis. Usually people refer to scraps as the unsmokable material, I.e. stems and leaves.

They make high cbd strains if you're considering growing for that purpose as well

"Dry Ice is a little quicker to make, and it adds some of the plant matter to the mix which is good for medicinal purposes. The ice is so cold that it turns the green material in to a powder which is small enough to pass through the micron holes in your bubble bag. I would recommend trying this way if you can. I get very good feedback from my patients that use it, one of which has ulceritive colitis and other stomach issues.

If you decide to do it this way, here are the steps: Buy a 5lb bag of dry ice. You may have to call around a bit, but someone will carry it. I live in Michigan and a grocery chain called Meijers carries it. Take a mallet to the bag and break it up into smaller bits. 1" to 2" clumps is fine. Using a 120 micron bubble bag, add a layer of dry ice on the bottom, then add your dried bud, then another layer of dry ice. Agitate the bag for about 2 minutes over a glass table that you have thoroughly cleaned/dried before starting. Then take a credit card/ID and scrape all of the trichome heads and powdered plant material up in to a bowl. Add the contents of the bowl to apx 1.5 to 2 cups of high grade coconut oil that is in a liquid state. Look for extra virgin cold pressed coconut oil.

The THC decarboxylates a bit during the drying stage after cutting from your plant, but the vast majority of it will be in the form of THC-A so she shouldn't get much of a "high" from it if any at all. Make sure she stores it in the fridge, and uses luke-warm water to liquefy it prior to ingestion. She should also shake the jar well before using it as all of the goodness will settle to the bottom.

If you decide to do an ice water extraction, simply take your finished hash (completely dried out and free of any moisture) and add it to the coconut oil. I have done it this way but prefer the dry ice method for various reasons.

Good luck!

*Forgot to mention ..... if you use bud, break it up a bit before doing this to expose any glandular heads that may be tucked in to the calyxes

That's 1 ounce of dried bud to 1.5 to 2 cups of coconut oil. Also be sure to wear gloves when working with dry ice. I have learned this the hard way"

Can't grow yet...as it is, traveling to get at great expense. I know about the higher strains, I can list them, but because of recent issues had to acquire new material, a stavia (I think) with a very low THC LEVEL

Sativa. Yes. Are you located in a legal state? Are you more or less looking to grow to find your solution?

No deep south bible belt. driving home with product right now
Hmm okay. So the question that needs to be asked is what are you trying to accomplish. I know the end goal is to supply your precious daughter with the meds. I'm just wanting to know how you are wanting to achieve that.

I think she wants to make oil for her daughter to consume... am I correct?
