Ive been on these boards for forever and day it seems like, I have expanded my girth of knowledge in growing cannabis and as well as extractions, however I have never really taken the time to learn some good recipes or methods for edibles to help treat chronic disorders. I am a medical patient as is my girlfriend who has fibro. I have chronic pain from pins and screws in my spine as the result of a tumor being removed. I run extractions for a living(I run CLS's, not open blast!) and im trying to do an experimental batch of candies for partner and I, were thinking carmels or chocolates. Were both heavy medicaters so I would like to make these roughly 200-250mg each. I have 5grams of some organic BBK wax that's decarbed(40min@250*) already, im going to fuse it with coconut oil but heres where im not sure what ratios to use. I see some use 50/50, some 1/3, some 1/4 coconut oil. What would be the best ratio to mix my concentrate with to achieve the best bio-availability to our body?

BBK = blackberry kush? Is that a good strain to manage pain? I personally would look into using something heavy on the CBD side. I grow a harlequin and like to mix it at about 50/50 - 75/25 ratio when making anything out of it so I get the pain relieving benefits of the CBD while still getting the some affect from the THC.

I'm a bit anal I never just ad this or that.. I measure / weigh everything so heres what I would do. Chocolates are easiest use a double boiler to melt down the chocolate crumble up your wax and stir until wax has dissolved into chocolate and than pour into chocolate moulds (I found some at BB&B but their are cheap plastic, i would get some nice ones off Amazon next time).

I would suggest making them at a ratio of 10g chocolate to 1g wax you could even do 5g chocolate, just know less chocolate nastier taste…. but doing it this way you'll eat 1 the first time if that doesn't work you eat 2 the next, if you've never made concentrate edibles I'd just eat 1 the first time, we all have outrageous tolerances but I've made chocolates, I've over done it on chocolates, sure you don't get sick or dizzy or anything but I don't like not being able to get out of my seat.

BBK is a heavy indica, I have harlequin on hand but I wouldn't make that into an edible the first time around. I enjoy dabbing harlequin or jager when I need some instant relief. I should of been more clear thoe. I think our biggest problem right now is sleep. I cant sleep but a couple hours a night......a couple nights a week. The same applies with my girlfriend. I have used edibles in the past and they work well at putting me out, I have just never attempted much myself. Thanks for the info Grojak

NP… honestly for large consumption (mass consumption) I make butter 2oz bud/trim to 1 lb butter and freeze it.. I make about 2 dozen cookies every 1-2 weeks for the wife and I… I'd blow through oil WAY to quick doing that.
